:iagree:

However, not in a TT's case, the energy in the exhaust gasses is used to push a turbine which leaves little to be dissipated as sound. So the exhaust tone will be quieter than even an NA setup with that same exhaust. The engine itself though will definitely become louder as it is combusting more air & fuel ;)

Boost is boost, the rotrex charger is nothing but a compressor like that on a turbo powered by the engine's crank shaft rather than a turbine. The same heat will be generated in either cases at the same boost pressure to an extent. That's why an intercooler was utilized.

Nice work Sam. Now all we have to do is mount the tranny , and oil cooler, for the 370.
Plus where did you mount the SC oil cooler? i see now why this profect takes a long time to complete.

Your best customer in Canada

Nice work Sam. Its going to be a tough decission between this kit and th Stillen. I really like the compressor GTM is using over the Vortec unit that Stillen is going to use.

My question is this? (forgive me if this has already been asked, this thread is huge) What are you going to use for engine Management? A computer flash or an actual engine management module? Next question is, will an engine oil cooler be part of the kit? (I really think this important)

BTW: the piping you have done is really clean! Under the hood my car will look the same as it does now with the G3 intake. :tiphat:

:excited:These are exciting times arent they??

cant wait to see some numbers maybe next week

I wasn't aware Stillen had announced they are now using a Vortec unit?

So will there be stage upgrade kits to get even more power if we feel we need more power down the road with the sc setup? I really want 500hp, and in order for me to buy this kit I need to know if it will be possible. I know we wont know any numbers untill its tuned but what do the sc guys usally do when 390-450 hp is not enough??? And nitrous is out of the question! Pulley upgrades and more fuel?? Also would lower compression pistons and new cam camshafts help or is this only with turbo??

Yep. Thier twin screw unit just wont work with the DTBs and they wanted a solution that didnt require an aftermarket hood. Thier unit will base around a Vortech unit that they modify and a water to air intercooler and hand held engine management system. They are definitly taking supercharging a whole new direction for them with the 370Z. All this is in the "Stillen Estimates" thread.

So far I am sold on the Rotrex compressor unit and I am excited to see the results of this GTM supercharger kit.

best bang for your buck is a terribly bold statement considering i can pick up 100hp for 800 dolars so fi this kit gets me 200 hp i will pay no more than 1500 lol

Where did you get 100HP for 800 dollars?

bucketman 01-02-2010 05:59 PM

The only way to get 100hp for 800$ is to pass gas.

What you just said is very bold statement! Care to elaborate on that a that 100 hp for $800.00 a little more? We are all listening!!

If your talking Nitrous injection you loose us here as thats a path for only the Young and the Bold! Nitrous is a definite F-That!

I am already about maxed out on what I can get on an N/A 370Z and I was out over 3 grand for bolt-ons. Power AINT cheap!!

Zsteve 01-02-2010 06:29 PM

So what are the pros and cons between the Vortex and Rotrex?

JB-370z 01-02-2010 06:58 PM

I dont think Forced Induction is for this guy! 800 bucks wont even pay for just the install. Hes not going to pay more than 1500 for 200hp.....wow, if you said 15,000 I could understand that but, jeez. Spraying is not a very smart way to gain hp. Your car would fit in perfect on one of the sets of the fast and furious, press the little red button at just the right moment to win an illegal street race:) But what ever floats your boat but wrong thread to be in for now! Untill sc systems make it to $800 a pop no luck here.

1slow370 01-02-2010 07:46 PM

nitrous people nitrous everyone knows you don't make a bang for the buck comment without adding "not counting nitrous" you can run a 100shot zex kit available today for $800.

Edit: just a joke people come the hell on, just pointing out that the bang for the buck king is nitrous in more ways than one ;)

One_Quick_Z 01-02-2010 08:04 PM

you can run N2O safe you just have to spend a little more than the base kit, That being said N2O is the cheapest Power adder and its safe as long as your not dumb and put a 250 shot on a stock block 125 is max on a stock block safely.

I can wait to see what the #'s are on this SC
