i also had two freeze on me :icon14:

either way, i am very excited to hear the results!!!

When it comes To designing a supercharger system choosing the right size blower is really the key for an efficient system, Just the right size not too small where you have to overspin the blower and then you start having premature failures and you air charge temp goes sky high, Or too big and where you never reach the sweet spot of the blower .

Let me say this, Choosing the C38 blower made this system a lot harder to fit and to design as you see it is not a Small blower. If we could have chosen the C30 blower instead, we could have done with system by now .

The beauty about the C38 blower is that you can upgrade from stage 1 to stage 3 without having to change the outside physical dimension, it is all done internally .

Having tuned and build so many VQ37VHR engine i know making 400-430 WHP on our GTM SC STG 1 is very doable

Stay tuned

1) Isnt the cost of the Rotrex pump about twice the cost of a Vortech or Procharger?
2) Will the location of the pump reduce it's efficiency from the heat coming from the exhaust, or can that be completely negated with an intercooler?

Thanks,

Looks great!

The Rotrex blower is more expensive but not twice as much, At the end of the day you get what you pay for .

Now for the blower location the factory manifolds are very well shielded so we are not really worry about that, only one way to know, A lot of testing and data logging .

What if we are upgrading those factory manifolds...

The blower is not really that close to exhaust manifold, I will have to take some better pics of that area and in the event you do have after market headers, I would recommend the Thermo-Tec Exhaust Insulating warp, it works very well

Ahhhhh.. Sh#T.. .WTF 500+WHP with a supercharger.. I had planned to go TT since start... now I'm lost... what am I to do? Guess If i got supercharger I could start buying all the boltones that I have been holding off on

Thanks for the response Sam. I was thinking of wrapping the headers anyways but good to know that there should be sufficient space. :D

I'm loving this kit, I really can't wait to see this thing get set up and see some vids.

When it comes to choosing between a super charger or a twin turbo, It really comes down to personal preference. For me a twin turbo is what i would choose :D

I'm glad that we can offer both options

Turbos would be a blast i'm sure, I just feel like a Super would be a wiser choice for a car that will be daily driven 10k+ a year...

either way it is great that you guys offering both

iceman21_23 09-07-2009 12:51 AM

what would be the advantage of going turbo vs supercharged in your opinion sam?

Turbo will have potential for way more power, most likely

We start installing twin turbo system on 350z back in 2003, To this day we have customer that are still running with the same system, same install and over 70 k of boosted millage.

So again It really comes down to personal preference :D

+1

Our turbo system have 6 different stages with nine different turbo options ,so you can start with 500WHP Stage 1 kit and go all the way to 1100 WHP + stage 6 (duel GT35R'S) with the same kit just different turbos, you could not do that with a supercharger

Sam

racerxj17 09-07-2009 01:19 AM

for me the big winner is price. generally you cannot get a working turbo under 10k before you start with the supporting mods. with a s/c, you can start off mild, and slowly up the boost and parts like clutch ect.

i would hope the kit is in the 5-6k range, just as my complete rotrex blower for my tacoma was.

Sam do you recommend sticking to 2.5" exhaust piping or upgrading to 3"?

I don't even want to imagine the loudness of that thing!!
