Weird. what makes you so sure its not the same on all VHR motors?

The one at home is 170, OE 370z is 180 and OE G37 2009+ is 190. Not sure why there's a difference.

Never knew there are three thermostat for VHR engines from Nissan.

It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either, but they've done weirder **** in the past.

JWillis, you want to use it for track purposes only, how hard is it to set it up like that?

I am not going to tune for extra HP so it's not that hard to set up. I think they said 3-4 hrs to install. If you don't tune for it there really are no cons, the pros are a great reduction in heat. The system I'm ordering comes so you can turn it off.

This is the kit.

Howerton Engineering, LLC – Aquamist HFS-3 Injection System

not the same kit but this shows how it works.

I'm just going to run this stuff on the track so I don't have to mess with mixing the meth and water.

Snow Performance Boost Juice

Correct. 2008 G37. Part number is W0133-1725928

I picked mine up from partsgeek but I'm sure there are others

Here's one googled link:

G runs a 180 too except for 2008.

Didn't know it was straight advertised.

Yeah, I heard the number in 09 but never could find solid proof until I created that thread.
There are references around the web about it that say 300TQ and everything but that was the first real details.

Wow if your not going to tune the car for the extra hp when using water/meth
Then I would just go with the snow performance kit it's cheaper and will do the same thing

If your getting the aqua kit then I would tune it for hp

Why buy insurance that you know isn't the best? After all I have spent on the car going cheap now doesn't make since to me!

JWillis72 01-29-2014 08:09 PM

My opinion is that anyone that thinks 400+ HP going into a hairpin isn't enough probably hasn't done it ! I don't need the biggest numbers, I just want enough to have fun and scare the crap out of myself!

Nissan370 01-29-2014 08:13 PM

Lol trust me it's over kill
If your just using it for its cooling effect and not bumping the timing for the hp advantage

It's like getting a nos kit and instead of going for the simple jet dry shot your getting the full 2stage fogger wet kit but then only doing a 50shot

Just my 2cents any way I will post a picture of my setup on my old Stillen kit

It was a nice clean look. And worked well.

I agree with you. I have 5 Uprev maps. 1-93oct, 2-91oct, 3-93oct w/meth, 4-valet, 5-security/no start. My 93+meth map allows me to run more timing and gives me 22hp over my 93 map. In the summer I still use methanol on top of my non-meth maps. Devils own and Boost Juice are good, but I am now mixing my own 50/50 mix VP M1 with distilled water. So much more cost effective!
