Yes. It is REAL BAD !!! I cannot believe that the GTM TT threads, originally intended for all of our auto enthusiasts to get together in order to share, discuss , learn and have fun finally turned out to be the ones filled with anger and nightmare. All because of GTM's terrible business conduct. How sad.....

yup I'm out officially, contacted my bank and they have opened a dispute, up to 45 business days to complete but will end up with a refund either way. If I was local to them I'd still probably be in as I could visit the shop and see the progress/what else is happening with their business, but from overseas this is getting a little too scary with all the other problem stories popping up which has caused me to act. I initially wanted to change over to one of their supercharger kits, but after another member on the forum here had to still wait 4-5 months, no way I was waiting that long for a supercharger kit.
basic run down of my story, my last chance to stay in the deal, contacted Sam last week (Thursday arvo his time, Friday morning my time) and asked him what we are waiting on, said the cast parts, I said what exactly is the cast parts, it was 2x exhaust manifolds and some sensor, he said everything else was in stock, I've said okay I'm worried being overseas I won't receive my products as this is dragging on a long time, please send me all the parts you have in stock and I'm more than happy to pay a little extra on shipping to ship the remaining parts once they come into stock, he agree'd and said it will take 2-3 days for the picking list and all the parts to be picked. I said I will call back on Monday or Tuesday, he said Tuesday afternoon will be better. I've just rang them now, he's said that it's a bad idea to send me the goods with the kit in-complete, because if anyone else finds out it, they will want the same thing done and there will be a lot of incomplete kits out that could cause issues, I said why didn't you just tell me this on Thursday arvo (Friday morning my time), he said not sure, he probably should have but his team had a think about it and this is what they came up with. he said he is more than happy to issue me a refund that will take a few days, I told him not to bother, I'm not waiting and will raise it with my credit card company. All in all, stress is mostly gone now, feels great, still not out of it yet as it can take up to 45 days to get my refund, but at least action is in place now for that. |

There is some light at the end of the tunnel for me, there is a company here in Aus now that have developed a bolt on twin turbo kit, going to cost more $$ but it's only other real option (about $2000 more all up so no biggie), either that or a stillen supercharger kit, not sure which yet.

I had my Z shipped to GTM in October 2013. Sam had the car for nearly 6 months. I only got it back after months of pestering, relentless phone calling and 2 trips to his shop - and I'm from Michigan. I have the newest TT kit - NOT the MHI. Eric at GTM was instrumental in getting the car back to me and if not for him, I have doubts as to when or if it ever would have been completed. I've spoken to Sam probably 50 times over the 6 months. His health issues are real. Whomever mentioned the scar was accurate. I'm not a Dr. and won't speculate, but my perception is that it's significant which likely has contributed to the delay. I did my homework prior to shipping the car to them. I'm very happy with the results but I'm sure Sam and Eric would tell you i was serious thorn in their side. I just wanted the car back. I can only hope nothing goes wrong as I don't know what I'll do for support. I feel for those who were waiting on the kit to to self-install. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to send a private message.

Everything FReddy is overpriced. Course I'm running their relocation thermostat and multi-gauge. They offer some of the best solutions for stuff and in some cases the only option

SMH wow if a company just relies on one man. It's not a company.

Allow me to introduce myself, Im Julian of the former MRC Motorsports in NJ. I closed down shop back in 2008 due to a plethora of small things all coming together at once and Sam and a certain moderator on My350Z contributed massively to my downfall as a business. There is probably no one on this forum that loathes Sam and GTM more than I after the public bashing I have wrongfully endured at his hands. I was conspired against by him and Romey who was a good friend of mine and destroyed his own motor due to his own ignorance, but that's a separate story for a different day.
I have heard that GTM may or may not be on the verge of bankruptcy, I can not confirm this nor can anyone provide any cold hard facts. However if he did accept your money and is on the verge of bankruptcy as I have heard and knew he was filing for Chapter 11 and STILL accepted your order and took your money with little to no intention of delivering goods, then you have a clear cut criminal case against him for fraud. At this point GTM seems like a big PONZIE scheme where he takes from Peter to pay Paul, and is on the verge of collapsing. I called this many years ago that the tide would turn. I also noticed how Sam never ever accepts responsibility and like to shift blame and smear other shops. This was evident on one Forged Performance thread I read where he played the customer against Sharif. Sam has a less than ethical character about him and knows zero loyalty accept to himself, he would talk smack about everyone behind their back back in the day.. Sam did it to me back in the day, where he shifted blame on his crappy motors to me, when 4 out of 5 of his motors we ordered from him failed miserably. 100% of the ones we built locally or in house were problem free, and some are still on the road today. Sam's issue is GREED. He wants to have his hands in everything and wants to control every part of the industry from soup to nuts. He doesnt want the customer going anywhere but his shop to spend their money and will do what he has to do at all costs to smear other places and preach the you NEED to use GTM cause they are the inventors of all things great! You need cams? "No dont use Jim wolf or Crower, those things are garbage, use our stage III GTM custom magic cam" which is an exact knock off of a Crower or JWT that he sends to a factory across the border and has cast out of cheap Mexican cast metal...Same goes for his TT manifolds from back in the day, a copy of the APS, cast in Mexico. When you get your hands too deep in the mix, you spread yourself thin and lose the quality control and pride that built you up to that point. There is such a thing as becoming "TOO BIG"..This is a perfect example.. GTM will go bankrupt, people will be out money, creditors will be screwed, customers will be screwed, and they will simply re open under a different name at a different location and pull the same old revolving door. The system is in place to reward people like Sam, and punish guys like me who ran a 100% honest place of business and never screwed over anyone. I was ran out of town with pitchforks and torches, by the GTM nutswingers, one of them was a good friend of mine who turned on me after he screwed up his own motor and Sam used as a pawn to manipulate the masses against me. Eventually Sam didnt deliver the promise land to that guy either and screwed him the best of my knowledge... I wish all the participants of this group buy good luck getting your refund, I would file criminal fraud charges if he never delivers and does go bankrupt. But Karma is a biatch people, you do reap what you sow!!! Just an FYI, you could probably pay a decent fabricator less money to make you a one off TT kit for your car..
