Which Twin Turbo kit???

Sup guys? Im going to twin turbo my 370Z and am not sure between the AAM kit and the GTMotorports kit. Neither have any dyno results on a 370Z that I could find. I like that the GTMotorsports is a true turbo kit, which I can install myself. The AAM kit, they only install, which is crazy to me. Any half wit with any mechanical skill can bolt on a turbo kit. Wondering what you guys think? Any of you have either kit on your 370Z?
Thanks,
Ernie

Price and options the GTM seem like they'll work with you. I may go the same route if I decide to keep the car. (I have some stuff going on with the motorcycle racing so if I go full time again I'll sell the car since it will just sit around) Keep me updated!!!

AAM is TT'ing a 370Z as we speak, so stay tuned

im pretty sure Forged performance is is Georgia. and if they were to turbo your car they would most likely be using the GTM turbo kit.
But as previously said, Fusz is getting his turbod at AAM.
Both are very reputable companies that make great products.
just make sure u get a great tuner

nogoodname 08-28-2009 08:56 AM

Forged is in GA, i thought is was in Socal for a second.....LOL

it's the other way around...my bad

Lou's is red... I was there when they were rolling it off of the truck. I told him I only bounced off of the rev limiter a few times before putting it back.

FuszNissan 08-28-2009 10:02 AM

Sold the black one, sent Red in it's place.

FuszNissan 08-28-2009 10:07 AM

The main reason I went with AAM is there "kit" if you want to call it that, is made in the shop. I know that the quality will be better than some kit made over seas and shipped back for install. Also, AAM is closer, but didn't really have a factor in it.

Shunya 08-28-2009 11:09 AM

Would like more info on these :P

chris410 08-28-2009 11:19 AM

Price isn't the GT kit $10K installed? Also, does anyone know if the GT kit can be purchased and installed/tuned by the owner? Some of us have built cars before and tuned them (I know Ernie and I have) so I'd like to know if that is an option. I think that's what Ernie is looking to do as well.

FuszNissan 08-28-2009 11:39 AM

To answer your question no, but they are woking on that. Maybe in the near future.

I'm waiting to see the Greddy kit.. Once all theses kits come out the price will start to come down a little i would think.

Thanks man! As you say, each of our turbo kits are all hand made in house, allowing us to make the kit custom tailored to each customer's car. Here are a few examples for you guys:

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2427/...04ee15a4_o.jpg

So some of you might be like, "What am I looking at?", lol. This is a 08 350Z Nismo edition, with the VQ35HRVVEL engine. So, the 370Z motor is very similar to this engine, so this gives you a good idea of what it will look like once we turbo the Lou Fusz car. Check out the intercooler behind the factory impact beam; we designed the kit so that almost all the factory body components can be used with the kit. Factory impact beam, front bumper, hood, engine cover, everything can be re-installed.

This shot is if the drivers side manifold and turbocharger mounted on the motor. Notice the custom trim Garrett turbochargers we use; Garrett is probably the world's biggest turbocharger manufacturer, the make the turbos for JWT, HKS, and a number of different turbo kit manufacturers.

So these are just a handful of photos from the builds that we've done recently on the VQHR platform. When I start a thread on the 370Z for Fusz, I'll keep the forum updated with daily photo content!

Dyno?

FuszNissan 08-28-2009 05:58 PM

Looks nice, I like the position of the oil cooler. I am curious to see dyno numbers as well.

Thank you..

Dyno Numbers is the easy part, perfection takes time . since we have done so many VQ37HR's, Dyno results are very predictable, We have orders for the kit from all over the world and our main focus right now is derivability and longevity and this is directly related to how much time we spend tuning the car .
