I too have the aluminum flywheel and the car revs much more noticeable than stock but that chatter is very pronounced at idle. Even over my non res and no cat full 2.5" fast intentions exhaust. But I figured I'm already going to have cabin drone from the exhaust so what the hell; racecar!

Thanks for the offer but I don't want to limit myself later if I bought these. Going to stick with the 1000cc injectors.
Thanks again esfourteen for the help.... Last edited by COSMO; 12-14-2013 at 04:54 PM. |

Just wanted to add I just called bobby and S&R Performance and he's just waiting on the custom pistons to arrive before starting the build. And just for the record he has taken the time to talk to me the few times I have called. I did have them go ahead with the L19 head studs and paid the difference with the ones they were going with... Keep your fingers crossed all goes well.

With the power level of just over 600whp I am shooting for, will the Stage 0 RFS kit work or will I need the next step up? Understand I don't want to have to question anything after this build...

You will want the full stage 2 kit, which replaces everything except the pump sending unit. All the plumbing gets a substantial size increase to eliminate sources of restriction and pressure drop, so that you can max out the fuel pump with the only thing holding it back being the filter and sending unit assembly. This means new rails and everything.. really trick!

the gtx2863r is very similar to the 2860 down low, the compressor graphs almost match until you get to around 18psi where the 2860 is running out of steam, the gtx has a much higher efficiency range and is capable of safely running 30+ psi which makes it good for about 350whp+ each. so while the 2860 is maxed out to about 600-650whp, the gtx version is capable of pushing over 700, assuming your setup can handle that much boost (compression ratio, fuel, timing etc).

So even with our stage II turbo's it's still about 600-650whp maxed out? Do you know what those turbo's run and do you think my built motor could handle it? If it's only 50 more whp I don't see spending the money...
