Yes. I would not build an engine without L19's. Just too risky IMO. Seen too many guys with head lift issues due to using a variety of different studs. Never seen head lift with L19's, and they have pushed 1000whp+, 1224whp is the highest I have seen on the VQ35.

Hey as long as you're in there: upgrade the oil pump to the Nismo one that doesn't grenade at high RPMs, and you may as well put in a fresh water pump while doing that too, give you more miles before you have to open that front timing chain cover again.

Ill probably use this thread as a template should I ever build my motor. Im sure it goes without saying, but be sure to check EVERYTHING 5 times right after you complete each process lol. Then check it again for good measure. I have read (That is the key word. I have no actual hands on experience with built motors) that too many built motors go bad within a very short amount of time due to the simplest things. Mostly spun rod bearings which has already been mentioned.
I know that information is probably redundant, I'd just hate to see this go south for you.

If it's one piece, it'll be noisy as hell.

I don't think my 19lb is loud at all, you can just barely hear it at idle. When I jad my 350z I went with the 12lb and it was very noisy....
