Quick Google search points to some stainless steel custom turbo headers. Maybe get some quotes? I don't know much, nor am I able to pursue anything let alone keeping it maintained.

To be honest I would consider a bp kit over the FI mainly because of cost.. It would just be too hard to replicate the ones we have now with no guarantee it would work or anything..

Not to mention the new z should be out next year and it is supposed to be forced induction so there's no telling what these guys are going to do who currently make turbo kits for our cars..

Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade

I finally got my blackstone oil results since I switched to synthetic and the break-in is looking pretty good so far..

MidnightBlueZ 04-22-2015 08:14 AM

That's great news! I just sent mine off a couple days ago so I'll be interested to see what they show.

COSMO 04-22-2015 08:22 AM

Well just to let everyone know I have decided to ditch the gtm crap on my car and go with a custom precision 6466 single turbo kit.

6466 ball bearing
T4
.96 AR

Now these specs aren't set in stone so I may make some changes..

TopgunZ 04-22-2015 08:26 AM

.96? So this isn't a twin scroll? And can you get a "custom" kit for cheaper than the BP kit you aforementioned?

COSMO 04-22-2015 08:37 AM

It's funny you mention that because I actually sent sasha a pm a few months ago and Never got anything back.

I remember seeing somewhere a while ago Charles was going to make some new manifolds for his own kit to run some bigger turbo's, might have been on facebook or something. Have you asked him about that? Might be a better way for the $$? Would just be a shame to not use your existing kit cause of manifolds.

COSMO 04-22-2015 11:53 AM

Charles at cjm was actually my first choice but after texting him a few days it seems he's having issues with getting things together and has no idea as of yet to when his kit would be available... Trust me I'm ready to spread my wings here since I do have a built motor.. I know with that turbo that 850whp is reachable but to be honest I think I will keep things around 750whp that way I wont have to upgrade my 1000cc injectors.. As far as the spool up goes I'm not too concerned because no matter what tire you run it isn't possible to get traction anyway in the lower rpm's..

fair enough man, I understand the not wanting to wait part haha.

keep us updated! always thought about getting someone to build me a single turbo kit but don't really have anyone I'd trust around me who have tackled similar builds before, gl with it all!

hjo1078 04-22-2015 01:16 PM

cosmo are you planning on running 93 octane or e85 ?

COSMO 04-22-2015 01:23 PM

I'm hoping to stay with 93 octane since I don't have too many E85 options close by...
Hell I even tried calling gtm just so I could speak with sam himself on making things right but the phone just rang and rang...
