press the print-screen button and whatever you are looking at will be copied to the clipboard. open up Paint and paste it there. Then crop what you want and save it and post.

One of several ways anyway.

Or use snipit and just dont grab personal info in the pane. If you do, then see above.

wow, no feedback. I'm guessing some of you were hoping to further flame vsr about the crappy motors they build.. Here are the facts people.

Keep us all updated. I plan on sending a sample in myself after putting a few more miles on the motor.

Glad things checked out.

BBRSpeedWorks 10-28-2014 09:50 PM

cosmo you aint worried about wear being lil high you havent put that many miles on it yet have you?

let me say i have nothing bad to say about vsr. I just follow your engine build...

Cosmo you know I've got no issues with you. In fact I've tried to provide whatever insite I can to your experience along the way but I've got to call a spade a spade. You have bad mouthed VSR multiple times when things haven't gone the way you expected along the way. Take a puff off the blunt homie and relax. Maybe VSR made everything right and hopefully your engine will give you years of enjoyment.

As far as the oil analysis. Looks like Blackstone pointed out a couple areas to watch that could become concerns later. You've changed to a heavier oil, which is good. I would recommend changing it again in a couple thousand miles and send in another sample. If you have no issues the trouble areas should start to clear up. If they continue, call Blackstone and talk to them directly. They are very helpful and can provide feedback into what could be ailing your engine.

Until then. Watch all you levels and warning signs and boost on brother. Your beast has been down long enough, go out and enjoy it!

I did some logs yesterday and it seems the maf's are almost maxed out at 17psi. The timing could be advanced a bit more and the a/f looked fine. No knock on the 93oct I've been running..

TopgunZ 10-29-2014 09:37 AM

What MAF's do you have? What size IC piping?

COSMO 10-29-2014 09:53 AM

The gtm turbo kits come with 3" intake tubes which is good but with the factory maf's the resolution could be better. I don't plan on running past 17psi anyway but still may look into better maf's for twice the resolution..

TerribleONE 10-29-2014 11:02 AM

Mmmmm 17PSI

Depending on your piston coating the moly could be skirt coating, if the wear continues listen for piston slap it may have a loose bore

Everyone should know my story. I hope nothing but the best for you for the simple fact that money is hard earned and I feel that if some business offers a product or service they should give you what you paid for in an appropriate amount of time. Another reason I'm rooting for you involves a bit more bias in that if VSR is incapable of a somewhat simple build of forged pistons and rods then I would probably be pissing more money into the wind by letting them build mine, so in essence you are my canary in the mine. My car is getting close to being finished and, judging from my journey, I don't know whether to be happy or nervous about it. It makes be feel a little better knowing your motor is still together and running strong but that fact doesnt ensure mine will. I guess, as always, time will tell.
