Understand all moving parts wear but when we spend hard earned money on a part that is supposed to supersede a known failing part and it fails too is not too impressive.

he meant CSC delete, it converts our transmission to the older fork style unit. Slave on the outside pressing a fork/throwout bearing thats inside the transmission.

well the saab piece is leagues better in terms of reliability, the z1 one system just makes it easier to replace when it goes, the tilton pieces are great stuff but damn pricey. Oh and the oem one is garbage lol

I went thru the OEM clutch and then an ACT (from Stillen) single disc clutch... Had the heavy duty slave made by ??? as well... Seems these FI cars dine on clutches. Finally went with the OS Giken twin disc ... has it's own slave and flywheel included if I remember correctly...it will bolt in however it does require it's own adapter to make it actually function ... (don't forget :-) or you'll be pulling the tranny again. Once in we found out that there wasn't sufficient adjustments to bring the pedal engagement from off the floor ... Had to go with the RJM custom clutch pedal to gain enough adjustments in order to do that. Highly recommend the RJM pedal ... he's on the forum here.

I'll tell you this... your project might be a huge PITA. Once it is done, you'll be able to enjoy it. Granted, it won't be the fastest car in the world. It'll have this character that other cars don't have. So I'd love to view some HD action clips and sound!
I honestly don't care for anything else out there, which is part of the reason why it's difficult to let it go. I'd love to build mine up someday... [sigh]. #singlelife #house haha

Low boost map is finished. Made 9psi 500whp, those custom pistons were worth the money.. Sorry I originally typed 10psi but it was 500whp

This was 13psi...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZWq...ature=youtu.be For some reason the wastegates were opening causing the boost pressure not to go any higher. When I get it back I will tighten up the actuators because before it was hitting 17-19 psi.. Last edited by COSMO; 09-04-2014 at 09:14 PM. |

Thanks for the kind words, it has been a long hard road but as of today I'm relieved. I should have my car back sat and you can count on me not getting any sleep Friday night....
Will post a dyno up when I get it.. |
