Well I got a call today from bobby today saying the clutch slave cylinder went out today. I already have the HD csc installed but now this blows my mind. He also said there was a small coolant leak in which they should be able to fix so maybe tomorrow so they can get some miles on it before the tune.. At this point everything has been replaced in the car.

Did you replace the CMC too? I find it hard to believe you had the HD CSC go out unless it was just faulty.

These CMCs seem to be one use items.

No I didn't replace the clutch master cylinder but I guessing the car sitting up for almost a year could have failed due to moisture... I should have just bought an gtr..

The CMC is $100. If you didn't replace it, my money is on that's the issue not the CSC

Heard you'll be on the dyno Thursday.. Best of luck my friend.

Ok new master cylinder and 4 wheel alignment. Today bobby is actually driving my car putting some miles on it for the dyno tomorrow... Had a coolant leak yesterday but turns out it was only a loose hose clamp.. Stay Tuned.. Get it tuned?

A friend of mine had his Z Speed slave fail on him last week. Its the first failure I have ever heard of.

yeah when it comes down to it all z speed did was adapt an oem saab part with new lines and a bracket, so it is still going to fail occasionally. At least it is more hit and miss with the saab csc than the oe one which is guaranteed to fail at some point.

COSMO 09-03-2014 02:14 PM

Well crap, I thought they designed the hd csc to be total bullet proof.. And it's not like an easy part to remove and install since you have to pull the tranny every time... :icon14::icon14:

I thought zspeed was the only aftermarket alternative that's why I switched...

Tilton makes one and Z1 has a complete vac delete option.

As for fluid I went straight synthetic

phunk 09-03-2014 02:19 PM

I wouldnt stress over it. Nothing on a car is bullet proof! Any moving parts you have added to your car have begun the process of wearing until failure the moment you installed them.
