It's a really simple switch and that stealth pump fits in there perfectly.. I'll bet most of you didn't even know that gtm ripped off Charles's fuel mod listed on their install instructions and stole the exhaust manifold designs from hks and stamped their name on it...

fuct 04-14-2014 08:18 AM

anyone know of HKS manifolds cracking? just curious.

COSMO 04-14-2014 08:27 AM

To be honest I dont think too many were sold to really know...

COSMO 04-14-2014 08:48 AM

You know other than gtm's crapping customer service I really like my kit and I'm sure they had no idea that their manifolds would start cracking down the road but guess what they did. Trial and error right. This was the only point I was trying to make with some of these others kits out. Don't get me wrong, I'm still not a fan of gtm but before I spend another penny on another kit I will wait a lot longer for more feedback when people start putting some real miles on their kits to justify another 10k purchase. Props to sasha and tony bobby at vsr for whats looks to be the new benchmark of turbo kits for our cars..

As much GTM bs as you've had to put up with, I think you're still making the right call. I just think twin turbos are better for V configuration engines where space allows. Singles will still deliver great power, but I think piping length needs to be kept as short as possible and twins on a V does that very well.

When putting the Aeromotive 340 in the fuel sending unit, you will want to drill out the bottom venturi jet to .100 +/- a few thousands. This will minimize the fuel pressure spike at idle from the pump overwhelming the regulator passages in the sending unit.

I don't think so. You cant compare apple to orange.

HKS manifolds are made from Japan
HKS manifolds replica from GTM are made from China and this is why the flange is smaller than gasket. I guess T25 flange in China doesn't exists? who knows.

So when do you think you'll be up and running? Also where do you plan to go for tuning?

COSMO 04-14-2014 05:09 PM

Should be up no more than a few weeks and the tune will ne done by bobby at vsr. For the break in I will run the base gtm map.. Will be back sat from vacation.. see ya!!

I managed to get a few things done today, check it out.. I also took the time to mate the intake manifold up to the plenum while off the car and believe it or not the runners on the base of the plenum are noticeably smaller.

Here is one of the intake and plenum off of the car. I will be taking a bit off of the base of the plenum so it is a smooth transition of air flow.
