I don't care whos still in MHI group buy, People have been warned but they managed to ignore, even the donor guys backed out and participated guys still blind.

All I care about is the V3 manifold upgrade!!!!!
Why its taking so long!?!

COSMO 03-12-2014 11:53 AM

Actually I have the driver side off and should have the passenger side off in the next hour. Should be able to get these out to vsr tomorrow. My motor is almost finished and bobby is waiting on those Cracked gtm manifolds... Will post up some pics next week on the manifolds being hopefully fixed..

Ron 03-12-2014 12:10 PM

and replicated so we all can buy them :)

Finally some pics of the hole in my motor and a pics of the gtm manifolds...
Also notice the exhaust manifold gasket between the turbo and the manifold. Do you see they did not cut the opening big enough. Don't know about you guys but I want all of the exhaust flow I can spinning those turbos up..

O&G 03-12-2014 01:56 PM

that exhaust flange needs help! STAT

COSMO 03-12-2014 02:26 PM

I think my tungsten bit can make that hole bigger the way it should have been...

Rusty 03-12-2014 11:46 PM

Vent holes on outside of block not good. :(

That manifold port is leaving hp on the table. :shakes head: If you are going to match the port to the gasket. Line up your gasket, tape it into place. scribe your line around the gasket, and then remove gasket. Dip your burr bit into ATF fluid before you grind. It will help keep the burr bit from dulling to quick. ;)

Nice!
Will VSR make a production manifold for GTM kit owners? Any pricing?

I start losing hope about getting the V3 upgrade. its never gonna happen. :shakes head:

1slow370 03-13-2014 01:29 AM

did u check the gasket to the turbo?

COSMO 03-13-2014 03:26 AM

I will ship my manifolds out tomorrow to vsr and they should have them in a few days. Bobby and his guys at vsr are going to examine the manifolds and hopefully come up with a much better option that will help us all. He did mention making a whole new manifold out if SS and offer them to others to buy useing my existing manifolds as a mold. That being said I would get the first set and fit them as trial and error before they are to be sold so no ones runs into fitment issues. Bobby said they would Warranty the parts but at this time I'm sure for how long. I honestly don't see this process lasting more than a month or so if things go well so be sure to check back periodically on the updates. Again it's a real shame gtm has resorted to tucking their tail between their legs and not addressing their major flaws leaving us the customers to fix them but I'm confident things will work out without the help of them...

Hey thanks for the tips atf fluid I will try that and I couldn't agree more with leaving hp on the table since they failed to have matching ports on both sides.
