Yeah, it's freezing the **** out of it. LOL Lower the temp down to around -300F to stabilize the molecular structure. It's used to remove residual stresses, and improve wear resistance. The company I used to work for did it for awhile. Wasn't a money maker for them. We also did plasma spray coating for thermo parts. I feel comfortable with it on ring and pinions and gears. But for manifolds, I don't know. 1100F is still hot. It's glowing.

We do several manifolds including Greddy. You have to understand manufactures don't dig them and sell them. We have to force the metal into shape therefore creating a mountain of stress. Or send me a manifold and I can jig it up and make a better one.

There we go! Who with cracked manifolds that already replaced them wants to send the set to VSR so they can make a new one? I would but mine won't be off the car in a while.

Damn, willing to pick up the pieces of another company's failure. Instead of pushing their own kit, they offer to fix yours. Big respect to you guys, putting the enthusiast first.

What are you ordering the parts and having someone do the build for you? Don't hold out on us now what are you going with and who are you considering doing your build????

Lol I'm not holding out broskis. I've said in other threads I'm going built and have spoken with u about it.
I jumped on the group buy for pistons and rods with Charles that didn't turn out to be a group buy but I went thru with it anyways. Might have someone local build the block.

I understand where you are coming from. ;) I've worked with castings and forging for along time. Know all about the stuff.

I'm planning on sending my exhaust manifolds down there so I will be the guinea pig...

G37sHKS 03-03-2014 08:20 PM

Group buy for manifold? :D

Ron 03-03-2014 08:52 PM

Yes!

elperuano 03-03-2014 09:17 PM

I'm in!

Glad you are doing this. It will give me a better idea on how the cyro will handle the high temps. ;)
