That mhi tt kit is going to go great with your new block.

Gluck with the sell bud. At that price, somebody has got to jump off that group buy and pick it up!

What else could it be? You've gone to way too much effort to go back to stock and ditch the car. Now the real question is how many turbos.

I like better not be stock time to joint the built motor turbo club. I am so glad to see more 370z's going this route now.

roplusbee 03-26-2014 04:48 PM

I like the "how many turbos" question.......

U gonna use that motor anytime soon?

COSMO 03-28-2014 09:05 PM

Soon enough man.. I finally made up my mind and decided to keep my gtm TT Kit. Like I said before I want something reliable and without having to work on it all of the time. Not to mention not having to fork out thousands of dollars for a new kit in which none of them really have logged any kind of high mileage to see how they are going to hold up in the long run. Going to keep what I have for 2 years and go gtr or maybe a new M4 since the new motor is a closed deck. Will keep you posted with pics very soon so hang in there.

elperuano 03-29-2014 04:10 PM

Cool name change cosmo

COSMO 03-29-2014 05:15 PM

Yeah I spoke with trips because too many people thought I was a female so he changed it for me.

F*** logic lol

Imagine if you chose a name like "Tranny" and people not referring to you as if you had fun bags + a sac.

"cosmogirl".....

I bet you got tons of profile views haha. BTW, I think there's this really hot blonde owner of a twin turbo blue Z with full amuse kit. She has a YouTube channel with nicely done vids.

COSMO 03-30-2014 06:57 PM

COSMO 03-31-2014 01:06 PM

Not too sure about solid but maybe a bit stiffer than the factory ones.

I have thought about that too since my motor is out now. Curious what the options are. Really don't want a whole bunch of in-cabin vibration.

Get the Z1 urethane ones. People seem to love them.

COSMO 03-31-2014 01:51 PM

Right on man, I have heard the same thing. Probably call john today to see if he has them in stock..

COSMO 03-31-2014 09:51 PM

Stay tuned, tomorrow I will have the bottom taken off to see what really happened...

Chuck33079 04-01-2014 07:00 AM

Looking at that pic of the oil pan, you may have had an engine problem. :rofl2:

Same here... selena gomez? Really? How young is the 370z crowd????????

COSMO 04-01-2014 08:43 AM

Had to order 1 hks m40hl Spark plug this morning since my #5 cylinder smashed the old one... My plan is to install the 600cc injectors for the break-in then drive to vsr in tampa for a tune but before they tune have the 750cc injectors installed.. One thing is for sure, those exhaust manifolds should flow a lot better now since they have been opened up...

COSMO 04-01-2014 09:54 AM

Just order the z1 Urethane Motor Mounts!!!

Should have picked up the tranny mount while you were at it.

COSMO 04-01-2014 10:11 AM

The stiffer tranny mounts will create too much interior vibration for sure....

I had the Momentum solid tranny mount in my 350z and holy $hit did it make it loud on the inside.

I have all 3, barely any vibration inside the car

COSMO 04-01-2014 12:00 PM

I figure between the z1 motor mounts and the rear diff bushing upgrade should be good enough but nothing too harsh in the cabin. Not like its quiet in the cabin anyway... lol

phunk 04-01-2014 02:06 PM

I have the solid aluminum motor mounts. They are only really noticeable during cranking. Otherwise they are very smooth with just a very slight extra occasional feel. Just right if you ask me. I have the solid trans mount too... that trans mount lasted the 4 miles between my shop and my house. When I got home, I didnt wait 5 minutes to just jack up the car and go back under there and put the stock trans mount back in. However it turned out that in that quick drive, part of that adjustable height solid trans mount quickly became loose and was probably the source of most of the noise.

The only thing I dont like about having a loose trans mount, but having the solid engine mounts, is that its extra load on the engine mounts. Any moving at the back of the trans is going to be torquing HUGE on those motor mounts before it even starts to load the spongy trans mounts.

I am going to weld up that adjustable solid trans mount so it cannot loosen, and try it out again this year.

COSMO 04-01-2014 02:18 PM

Let us know how that works out Charles.
Like I said the method behind my madness is I'm hoping between the engine Stiffer motor Mounts and the Stiffer rear diff bushings it should keep the tranny vibration to a minimum and not allow it to flex too much...
