That thing looks sweet. One of these may be in my future. My EVC-S works great, but is such a pain to edit boost curves with. Nice to see a company putting out a decent product without the brand name markup.

I like the boost controller so much more than my EVC S that it replaced and would highly recommend it .

What is everybody's opinion on the HKS EVC-S controller? As my sig says I was set on that for my TT setup, that is being installed as a DIY this winter. It would match my HKS turbo timer so I figured it would be nice to have a theme going. Out of the little reviews I could find, they all seemed good.

Anybody have any personal experience with it?

They r good just kinda complicated.

I just switched out my HKS EVC-S to the Go fast Bit G-force 2 boost controller so far I like it way better than my HKS unit.

This thing has 6 boost settings way more than I need.

So what are the pro's and cons of either? Really curious

the evc-s does work well, it's just confusing to setup if you don't understand the variables being changed, and most don't because the manual is confusing as hell. After owning one for awhile I eventually figured out how to dial them in well, it's actually very simple to use.

The go fast bits is a great controller that has very good closes loop correction and supports 6 boost maps and sensor calibration. Only thing I don't like about it is you have to run a vacuum source into the cabin (no remote sensor)

That is the only reason I haven't purchased it. I'm going to check out the new one from Innovate Motorsports.

Hmm.. educate me. I'm under the assumption an EBC would keep the wastegates closed longer for better response. How about feedback for more accurate or consistent boost regardless of ambient temps and air pressure?

EBC can keep the wastegate shut for better response if you ask it to (typically called GAIN), you need to adjust this carefully to avoid an overshoot/spike depending on turbo size and boost levels.

As for ambient temp adjustment, some factory ECU's with boost control do this, but I don't know of a single aftermarket boost controller that factors in ambient temp when doing closed loop correction.

I loved my PROFECT B, When I was running it on my EVO, I ran a Turbo XS manual on my other one and all 3 of my Eclipses. I only had boost spikes when the temp were cold" normal tho"

Apex'I AVC-R ftw

Boost by gear, no spikes.

I want boost by gear. Supposedly with the evc6 boost by gear doesn't work properly.
