GTM Stage 1 SC purchased

I'm in jersey and was thinking of getting radiator upgrade myself. I didn't. I just got gtm 25 row oil cooler with spal fan. During late summer at around 90F whether, my oil temp wouldn't go past 200 even if I tried. Unless you are tracking the car, radiator upgrade is not really necessary for our east coast temperatures. I suggest to spent that extra cash on good monitoring and then upgrade in the future if necessary. At least that's what I did

You're not going to see much of a difference in oil temperatures from a radiator. It'll definitely lower coolant temperatures though.

I decided to upgrade mine for a couple reasons. The first as fryzia pointed out, weather in the desert is harsh, the second is all the other heat exchangers that are now in the way. It was painfully expensive, but for my own build, it was the right call. Now... If someone wants to buy my twin 19 row oil coolers, I'm thinking of upgrading to 25's haha. I was a bit miffed to see oil temps jump 20 degrees when doing a 5th gear pull on the dyno lol. Went from 200 to 220 and took a few min to cool back down.

Exactly. This is why you upgrade the radiator. You've stuffed an intercooler in front of it, and at least one oil cooler. You've compromised the ability of the OEM rad becasue it doesn't get cool air anymore. The only reason you don't see this reflected on the water temp display is that it's inaccurate and useless.

Would the radiator itself without the fan suffice for the application I'm trying to do. I'm not tracking the car. Just occasional spirited driving.

You won't know until you do it. I regret not getting the fans when my radiator was installed, but we didn't know they would work with the CSF rad at the time.

These cars always run hot, even a completely stock car could see some benefit from upgraded radiator and fans.

If you can afford it, get the full setup, if not, skip on the fans, you'll probably be fine, especially if you never plan on tracking it.

They do since they use coolant to cool the turbos, but you're stuffing a hot intercooler in front of the OEM rad and using the stock fans to pull air through it. Compressing air generates plenty of heat on its own.

The GTM fans are less than $500 on a build that's probably over $10k for the sc kit and assorted other stuff.I'd rather overbuild than try to get by with the bare minimum on a project.

Right, at this point I have no desire to track it. I may go to the track once or twice. And it's literally just to see how much quicker it accelerates and what my top speed would be after a tune (if that changes at all). Can anyone provide a link to where I can get the fan? And also does it add any significant noise while running?

I got a question for you Sh0vel. I see you have stance coilovers, are you running camber arms with those? I just recently bought an SPC rear camber kit in preperation for getting my Stance's installed. I'm just making sure I went the right route.

Somebody posted a video, it is louder than stock, but not obnoxiously so in my opinion. Your top speed will be higher simply because the speed limiter is removed. I haven't seen anyone take a FI Z out to a standing mile type event to get a real top speed.

So would I be looking at the 14" high output fan for the stock radiator? Is that what you guys were suggesting? Or is it another one? Because on that page there's a ton of different options, and I'm not sure which one would fit the CSF radiator.

I've thought about heading out to the Texas Mile, but it seems like every year somebody wads a car up out there. I'd love to know how fast the car will go if you can just bury the throttle and not worry about cops or road conditions.
