No, 12 psi out of something that doesn't flow a lot of air is very different than 12 psi out of a huge compressor. If you blow 12 psi through a cocktail stirrer, you're moving a lot less air than 12 psi through a garden hose.

Now you're talking volume of air not pressure. You need the pressure to force the air into the engine. The volume comes from the size of the intake all the way from the air filter through the valves to the cylinder. Am I right? Or am I missing something. Seems like a simple physics problem to me and I'm no physicist.

Sorry to hear that.

Not just a/f to manage - have to watch the air temps as well - were you intercooled at 12 lbs of boost? Still sounds like a bad tune.

In my last car I had detonation and destroyed an engine on 13 lbs of boost intercooled...

Also had some head & valve damage from the blow through of the broken pistons

Went with a forged and built shortblock and ported the heads - and stepped up to a Vortech YSI race blower - later ran it to 23 lbs of boost at only 6,500 rpm (combo was good to 30 lbs + if revs allowed spool up) - new set up was huge $ but was bulletproof

Hope you make out okay.

Wow.....beautiful work. I'm currently waiting for my pistons. I'm getting the majority Of the forged internals through GTM. They have supposedly contacted Wiseco and should be around 4 week wait time. Everything else they have. Communication with them is somewhat lacking though so it is somewhat frustrating wait, but the Wiseco pistons should be worth it.

This is so far from the truth.

Care to explain why 16psi on a T25 turbo makes less power than 12psi on a 16G turbo?

Here is a good way to look at it, when you're fighting a fire, which works better, 12psi of water through an aqurium hose or 12psi through a garden hose?

There is some truth to your statement but you're not taking into account for flow since a bigger turbo will be pushing more air at the same psi then a smaller turbo would be.
