Not hitting full boost. Only 10lbs.
 

Yesterday I noticed my car wasn't hitting full boost. I'm only getting 10lbs and my setting on the hks evc6 is 12. Not sure what the problem is but I'm leaning towards the hks boost controller. Before 12lbs would be on tap. Yesterday I notice the boost going up little by little maxing out at 10 lbs. My best guess so far is the boost controller.

Before I noticed this I would say the car was very boost happy. I would barely touch the pedal and I could hear it building up immediately. Could barely stay in vacuum but again I have a heavy right foot lol.

Any suggestions or advice I would appreciate.

Also no codes have been thrown and afr hasn't changed.

Coupler blown off somewhere probably. Or burned out wastegate gasket perhaps

Check and recheck all couplers. Those things can be a pain sometimes. Wish they were made differently. As a good friend suggested after you check the bands making sure there straight and tight put another nut (jam nut) behind the nylon nut (which is normally only good for one use), which will keep it from backing off. Also try not butting up the two connecting pies within the coupler.

They make boost clamps, but there like $30 each. They work perfect.

Hitting the end of the pipe with some hairspray before you put the coupler on will help keep the coupler from coming off.

Actually, once it heats up a little it acts as a pretty good glue. I'm all about the redneck tips and tricks, especially when they work.

That Is not redneck at all. It is advanced chemistry knowledge. Good one sir!

If the intercooler pipes are bead rolled (as they all should be) there is no way a coupler should ever come off with proper T-bolt clamps. I have built intercooler pipe kits this way for a long time, and have a couple of local supra guys that are in the mid 30 psi range, and they have never had issues with the couplers poping off.

Check your vacuum lines (BOV, wastegate and EBC) there can end up on exhaust pipe if not properly tied up, and cause the issues you are having.
