stillen supercharger custom tune

To those of you who has stillen sc kit, and got a custom tune, what were the additional stuff purchased from uprev?

I called uprev and they told me to get a protuner license in order to retune the stillen tune.

They said its $500 but the only description that matches the price is CIPHER->OSIRIS is this it??

ANMVQ 08-07-2013 02:13 PM

I didnt, But I was tuned already, I just was a "retune". If you tuning yourself than that price sounds right, All tho a custom tune is about $500 also. Buying the licsense and paying for the dyno tuning time.

Are you wanting to tune this yourself or go to a shop to have it tuned?
If at a shop, you will probably just need to pay for the hourly tune rate since they will be a pro tuner. Your cable will become a standard cable which can upload, possibly download, and data log the car. Buying the upgrade from Uprev will allow you to tune it yourself.

They're probably charging you for the full Osiris tuner setup minus the cost of the cable (because you get one with the Stillen kit).

Might want to just ask THEM tho.

Thanks for the inputs guys !

I had one of the local protuner work on it

Ran into a problem of overheating during tuning though.

They said that the heat exchanger is too small (Any inputs on this?) and it's restricting them from getting constant gains.

I have 34row oil cooler from z1 so I doubt it's the engine oil as they also said oil temp looked fine.

Now i'm in the market for heat exchanger... maybe better intercooler system?

Yeah, that's one of the knocks on the Stillen kit. A few of the guys here swapped it out with a larger unit. The next wall you'll hit is then the injectors or the maf plumbing.

:ughdance: Not into making huuuuuge power. Just wanted something more reliable on the road course track but Stillen kit does have a lot of issues... :bowrofl:

Any chance what product they used or their username?

Thanks in advance :tiphat:

Not offhand, no. Sorry.

Yep your right chuck the stillen injectors ******* suck!!!! mine gets hot in traffic when stopped with the ac on you can see the temp dots go over halfway when the car is running it seems to be ok with or without ac. I had mine tuned at uprev Austin tx and they did a great job. No problems. I do recommend bigger injectors though!

Frozenboost.com for the heat exchanger. I changed mine, I dont like the idea of ot attached the radiator.

I bet your good local buddy could help you figure out these technical challenges if you asked him. ;)
