Anyone running GTM 3' Exhaust?
 

I wanted to start a thread to see how many FI people are running the gtm 3' exhaust. After doing a bit of research it seems rare and most everyone seems to go with the Fast Intention exhaust.. Iam currently debating between the FI or gtm 3' exhaust system but with a wait time on gtm's exhaust of 2-3 weeks and FI 3' exhaust of 3 months Iam kinda at a stand still.. Does anyone have any other sounds clips of these exhaust besides whats on youtube??

IIRC, VQStryker was running the GTM 3" setup with their down pipes. I've seen a videos. It sounds really good, but (not to be biased) the F.I. sound is more appealing to me. Like pianos, I prefer the Yamaha sound.

BTW, did you watch the video of one where the owner was running with just the 3" down pipes? It's hilarious, but sounds so sick.

I have the gtm 3" on my g37.. Was the only 3"available at the time. I like it... not too loud except at wot.

My GTM 3" exhaust suppose to be shipped out yesterday. Hint Hint.

Will tell you how it sound after i install it :D

PS: its going to be with 3" down pipe + external wastegate

Please do!!!!!! I have the 3'gtm test pipes as well and just want to finish it up with the best flow possible...

Btw how long did you have to wait before they shipped it???

I was told 2-3 weeks just like they told you but its been almost 5 weeks since i paid and still no tracking number from GTM...

Will update you once i get the tracking number hopefully today

I do like how to pack the stuff though but the timeline they give is not accurate at ALL!

I ordered a 3" FI exhaust from Tony last week. I believe I'll be the 9th person to have their 3" system. I have to order GTM's 3" pipes and Im going to go with their external wastegate setup. Tony confirmed the lead time will be ~12-16 weeks. My Stillen exhaust should hold me over for a few more months :driving:

You'll love it. It sounds great. He's up to 9 sold now? The initial batch was 6, so there's two guys out there holding out on us.

I'm pretty sure he told me I'm #9. Being that the parts are so rare that sort of makes my car feel much more distinguished now lol

Iam about to also pull the trigger just to finally finish up on my TT setup.. I hate waiting so long on parts..!!!!!!!!!!@#$%^&*()_

If you make it back to DFW before yours comes in, let me know, I'll give you a demonstration of the ridiculous sound their exhausts make.

Go for custom exhaust. 2 weeks for GTM exhaust is not going to happen.:shakes head:

Sorry to hear bro... If your like me and trying to finish up my car it can be very aggravating.. Like I said I before I will be contacting Tony next week on purchasing their 3' exhaust....

This hobby can be a pain. Every vendor on here that makes products for our cars, you will have to wait. They absolutely don't stock anything. Seems as if it's made to order. Which seems they don't put enough money back into the business to stock even one of there own products. Who really knows? Probably more to it. I really dislike the fact all the new product threads that get thrown up and then there's no time frame on any level of when it's going to be able for purchase more or less when production will start. Just make it, then post and sell the same day. But were at there mercy so........

Well understanding the characteristics of being self employed since I am self employed means if something is in demand produce it and make that money while you can.... Time is money and money is time, nuff said...

See. Im not against made to order products I love GTM. Im just bothered the fact that i was told it will be done in 2 to 3 weeks max and here we are almost 6 weeks and still no tracking number.. im not here posting bad about GTM, every inch of my car have GTM brand on it.

Im just telling the OP not to expect the exhaust by the end of timeline. and as i said earlier, I will update this thread once i receive the tracking number :tup:

Hey brotha Iam with you, I also had to wait and almost canceled my TT order after waiting 2 weeks after the time frame it was promised. Gtm has been good to me and Iam please but it seems as if they have too many fires in the ovens and at times it seems they are overwhelmed. Just wait when those 100 people on the group buy are calling mike and sam to answer questions. WHEW!!! I say we should fly spohn out there to have him lend a hand... lol

GTM has always been that way. So I'm already prepared mentally. Lol. But they make the best products.

Completely agree on making the best products but Iam really curious on how the FI Exhaust is going to be...:tup:
