BTW, why does it hang for a little bit at 6.5k in 3rd? I think I've felt something like this before.

That's just when the tires stopped slipping.

Two years ago it dynoed 524 at 7.5psi.... I haven't run it on a dyno again to see what else it does.

That's pretty awesome for 7.5psi.

Were you able to out run the derecho? Seems like you were able to quickly to match its windspeed in 3rd and 4th

Pics from the install a couple years ago
Nissan 370Z Forum - phunk's Album: phunk's TT 370z

Attached the low boost dyno from a couple years ago to prove boost pressure.... Graph is a little choppy because it wanted more timing but I felt like it already had a lot. It has more now.

It's held up to this or more for 2 years now, and I floor it through a few gears like every 5-10 minutes I'm driving. Pretty impressive engine... Don't let anyone tell you that 500+ rwhp isn't safe for regular use, if it breaks than something was wrong.

Never really played with the boost controller settings to get that last 1 psi to come in a little sooner... as you can see from the wheel slip in 3rd on concrete with r888s, not really missing out on much.

BTW this is without any VVEL adjustment. I don't have the software to do that.

That's plenty of fun power for a daily with a stock block especially with that kind of response. How's half throttle response in 3rd or 4th? How's boost pressure building up around 2k?

From the drivers perspective the boost transition feels immediate in the lower gears. Just driving around town spirited, it feels a amazing. Even before the engine becomes an airflow restriction causing pressure to go positive in the manifold, the airflow is so much higher. The engine is so damn efficient.. When you are say 2nd gear 1/3 throttle, riding out 1-2psi boost, the air filters sound like vacuums and the power is already causing some sliding around. Honestly the engine feels so potent at part throttle, that you are almost expecting even more than it has available at full throttle. That's where I can tell this engine wants some more boost still

The one angle of these cars that I have no experience what so ever is in the AT trans. I do know that if I had one, I would push if just as hard as the 6mt and cross my fingers. The 7AT would probably outrun my car in the lower gears

haha yea i agree but i really havent seen too much on here of people pushing the stock AT with boost and only 1 person i know of has the GTM stg4 AT trans and still doesnt have his SC kit on yet to know if it'll hold.

honestly if i knew the 7AT could hold the power i want i would consider it but i dont think it can soooo i see no boosted Z but a GTR in my future lol
