Stillen Supercharger estimates???

They've already gone with it so lets just see which centrifugal unit they give us (there better be at least two).

I am glad Stillen can't fit the roots style blower. Plus I love the sound of the TVS Centrifugal blower, it sounds like a huge turbo minus the bllow off sounds. I refuse to change out the hood to accomodate the blower. I personally did not like the available choices. Twin chargers would be sweet but it cost as much as TT setup. It will be interesting to see how they and GTM run the piping from dual intakes to the Intercooler and to the compressor.

I personally think the Vortech V-5 blower would be ideal here, on the 4th Gen Eclipse GT V6's, they were making 430whp from 230, thats insane, check the link. If they can make 200whp on a 3.8L V6, I hope we can make at least 430whp.

TVS is not a centrifugal supercharger.
Its a new roots design from
Eaton.

Does anyone really know what they are working with? I mean, I just want to know what extra stuff I am going to have to budget for. I really have to work out my path ahead of time. Once I pick up the Z, my "fun" money will be drstically different. If I wait until after I pick up my Z to purchase upgrades and such, I will have to save for 3-6 months to comfortably afford bolt-ons and ???? for F/I solution. Maybe it will be better in the long run, that way I get the most out of my warranty before I start voiding things.

By the way, one thing that we can confirm right now is that no aftermarket intake will fit the supercharger. We were hoping to design the kit so that it would be possible but we have come to the conclusion that there is just no way to accomodate an aftermarket intake.

The kit will come COMPLETE meaning it will come with an intake. It just won't work with the factory intake or any aftermarket intake. One will be provided with the kit.

If you planned on going with FI, the better choice would to have not bought an aftermarket CAI.

Kyle, thank you for the information. This officially puts the G3 + S/C question to rest.

Why on earth would an aftermarket OEM replacement CAI also work with an aftermarket supercharger even if it were from the same company?

if it was a rotor type they could have routed the throttlebodies to the G3 intake take a chill pill dude i noticed they censored you laughing at snakes out of your post. It's a valid idea unfortunately it doesn't work with a centrifugal

Actually I edited that out because I felt it was too harsh a comment since I thought of what you just posted and figured it would be viable in a remote instance but still very unlikely but yeahhhh

So the lack of new car sales on the Z weren't a huge factor. When we design our kits we try to make them fit multiple vehicle's. This helps everyone by allowing us to ammortize the cost of the R&D over a larger number of potential sales which in turn lowers the customer's retail price.

At the end of the day, Steve just wanted to go play in Newfoundland with his GT R and it had to be ready by September LMAO!!!

On a serious note though, we are planning on sitting down at the beginning of next week to discuss what information we can release. We all agree that it's about time that we offer some more details on the kit as we are pretty far along in the development process. I just need to ask the Manager's what they're comfortable talking about.
It fits the G37? Hell yeah! Can't wait to hear more details about the kit.
