Stillen Supercharger estimates???

sounds good I will have to read up on the GTM one and if Stillen can keep the hood lines then that might be so bad. I really do like

A centrifugal style won't require any hood modification. However, due to the dual side intake, a centrifugal style requires a little more hardware than you might think. GTM has a SC kit like this for the 370Z already. You may also want to check the thread about the Vortec SC as well.

I picked my car up from Vortech on Friday, (they had it for over a week doing R&D) looks like they abandoned the idea of going centrifugal due to lack of space under the hood. :-(
They did mention the possibility of a twin screw mount, since they build them for other platforms. Only issue is the hood will have to be changed or modified. I'll be in touch with them about dropping the car off for the twin screw if/when they decide to move forward on it.

Keep pushing them to do it!

Thanks for all the info, Minicobra. Does Vortech want to know if 370Z owners would be willing to get a different hood like with the Stillen 350Z supercharger? Perhaps another poll is in order.

Looks like Stillen's going for a different approach than GTM and keeping it hush hush, I guess.

They don't want to release and hype up their stuff until it is completely finished and well tested. Its a different approach, thats all. It will be done when its done and I'm sure they are eager to get the kit out to us. Be patient, they will let us know as soon as its done and ready. Lots of research and planning going into this kit and they have their resources behind it. Be patient folks, its on its way.

+1...

I think Stillen got burned with the 350Z in releasing the kit first?

Either way, I think it's amazing that we have a couple of manufacturers on this forum that are contributing to various forms of forced induction.

GTM with their turbo kit...very appealing to jump on it now and have something no one else has, but, patience can sometimes be a good thing...

Sorry, I was speaking from a local(ish) standpoint...and being the (or among the) first is cool because you're breaking the ice for others to follow, but, you're also the first to have issues.

Different approaches, but props to both Stillen and GTM for developing forced induction options for the VQ37. Same with Greddy.

Just thought I'd jump in here and offer a little update.

I was walking through the shop last week and I saw an interesting site. The supercharger development car was running! The hood was closed! and I could see our engineers inside with their laptops! That's right folks, our supercharger is nearing completion! Shouldn't be much longer now!

Oh and for the record, we are working with a very reputable electronic tuning company to do all of our tuning directly through the ECU. No more piggyback? Could be!

NIce, sounds great that the hood was closed....hummm. Does that mean you don't have to purchase another hood?
