That was a great update. Essentially an air to water intercooler inside the intake manifold. Nice design. The picture does not indicate but are the intake streams kept separate or combined inside the manifold?

i said that same thing when i sold my cobalt, i said "well this car is 280 with just intakes, thats good enough"....yea that lastest a day or two until i seen a nitrous kit on sale..lol

I have to say it looks like some really serious engineering and thought has gone into this kit and i'm really anxious to see the results from all this work.

that intake manifold is truly a work of art, design and looks, GTM is going to seriously have to impress me to sway me from this setup.

The intake intercooler is a great idea, how much do you expect it to cool the air? And will a regular IC be needed too as the intake one is kinda small? I think if the intake IC cools the air pretty good then this could be a common setup down the road for FI cars.

The intercooler in the intake manifold is the only intercooler. The reason its so small is because its an air to water unit. Water is continuously cycled through the intercooler to a heat exchanger mounted in the front of the vehicle by a pump. The heat exchanger in the front of the vehicle acts just like a radiator by cooling the warm water from the intake manifold. Cooled water from the heat exchanger is pumped back to the intake manifold for the cycle to begin again.

Air to water intercoolers don't need to be huge to cool effectively because water is very good at absorbing heat.
