I'm guessing this "work of art" is going to cost us additional $$$ ;)

It depends on how you look at it. The intake manifold is necessary in order to complete the installation, so whether it was a work of art or just something slapped together that would "do the job" it was going to be a part of the kit no matter what. Our guys just spent some extra time in making it look really nice.

Kyle, can you confirm what supercharger type you are using? Screw or centrifugal?

So, any confirmation on the type and location of the blower?

Cheers lost twin on the other side of the ocean! ;)

Now Kyle, give us twins and the other folks some info please...

Kyle@STILLEN 10-29-2009 03:58 PM

Sorry guys,

We don't like to give out much information until we are 100% ready to launch the product. There are many reasons for this but here are some of the primary reasons.

1) Things change...Right now we're in the prototype stages and very few parts are 100% locked down. We have a solid foundation and we feel like we are going in the right direction but if we find that something needs to be changed during our testing then there was no point in even talking about it to begin with. If we start saying what we're using and something changes then it only confuses the people who are late to the discussion. We have all seen threads (especially 12 page long threads ;)) where information gets lost or confused or misinterpreted later in the thread.

2) Protection...We are very proud of our engineering and we have had numerous people rip off our designs. We like to keep our investments and our engineering in house rather than give it to the world before we bring it to market.

Kyle, how are the chances that the STILLEN 370Z supercharger will be downward compatible (or adopted) to the VQ35HR engine?

Kyle@STILLEN 10-29-2009 06:49 PM

We are definitely keeping the 07-08 350's in mind when we develop this kit and we are hoping that it will be compatible but at this time I have absolutely no information on whether or not it fits. All I know is that our engineer's are keeping it in mind but I personally have not seen anything.

I really need to find something else to follow on these forums. This wait is killing me.

Perhaps the Penske Coil over discussion?

Or the discussion on our front lip/splitter?

LOL!

Go to the men's adult section...That should keep you occupied for a little while!

Can you discuss horsepower goals and/or stages?

1slow370 10-30-2009 06:53 AM

They can't discuss anything because they don't work like GTM. We should all stop asking questions and instead go back to doing what we were and ramble for pages about what we want the kit to do. Ecu tune, screw compressor, ease of install/maintenance (this had better be easier than installing those god damn headers, and i better not need the torch to make it fit right). Also a plus would be making the inter cooler area of the manifold come apart so that at a future time a larger and more efficient core could be installed with a higher hood. Or the ability to pour ice in the water system (big reservoir with large lid). Or get crazy and add meth injection to the stage 4 kit. I know you won't do most of that but hey throws some ideas on the table.
