Default Clutch Recomendations?

So Iam driving to Biloxi tonight to hit a few casinos and while in 5th and rolling on the gas the rpm's surge at 4500.. My car only has 28k and has been babied so Iam kinda shocked it was slipping. The funny thing is when I finished my TT install and took it for a spin I thought it was breaking the tires away but now I know I was wrong.. ha.. Any thoughts on a clutch and flywheel combo???

Go easy because if you keep slipping it, it will not work for long.

+1 for Joe at Zspeed - there are different clutches for different applications... street, drag, track. Call Joe, tell him we sent you, he will HOOK you up.

You should do the CSC upgrade while your in there, if you don't that will be the next thing to go... 370Z Clutch Pressure (CSC) Failures

I'm planning on a twin plate OS Giken TR series for the billet aluminum pressure plate assembly... light is right!

I went with the JWT clutch and flywheel and have been really happy with it. I do agree with the other it does depend on what your doing with the car. For everyday driving JWT works great.

Yea, it's the best. But I could never justify the price when Southbend clutches will hold just as fine for half the price.

I have a TT too. 503rwhp/406lbft tq and running a 6 puck Southbend. Feels like stock but a little stiffer and it has NO issue handling the power. I love it. Joe is your man, give him a call.

+1 This clutch was awesome. Used it in a TT build here. It'll take a lot of people a little adjustment to be fully confident driving with it when its brand new and super grabby, but as someone who gets to drive a lot of clutches I LOVED the way that thing drove. It will DEFINITELY hold the power too.

Love OS Giken for their quality. If you can swing the price tag, it wont disappoint.

Thanks,
Alex Goodwin

Iam now wondering if the csc might be leaking onto the clutch causing it to slip? Your right I will go ahead and replace everything while Iam in there. If only I had a lift to do the work.... Another thing is, Iam going to have to take off the 3' gtm downpipes to get the tranny out....!@#$%^&*()

Its a pretty easy job, but a lift definitely makes it better! Youll have it out and in on a Saturday .

Here are some pics I took of my clutch/CSC job I did a couple months ago, taking it out and putting back in it helps to have another person handy. Joe also recommended using Motul Gear 300 Trans fluid (manual 6 spd)

Good luck.
