I'm going with Specialty Z's SZ 6 puck. It's the one they use with the FI turbo build! IMO first think about your end goal, then chose from those proven models which best meets your needs.
The best things about this forum is all the information. The most confusing thing about it is all the information! Good luck!

After researching spec clutches I have found a lot of failed clutches. I've decided on TZR and 17lb flywheel with the upgraded csc... Thanks for all of the help and knowledge..

Spec.............don't do it. The Twin Disks suck bad and the singles are average at best for the Z. I have heard many horror stories involving Zs and Spec clutches from shops that have installed them.

I just ordered a Stage 3 6-puck Southbend Drag clutch, with a Southbend 19lb race steel flywheel. From my research, and after talking to Joe@ZSpeed (great service, helped me pick options and spelled it out to me), it seemed like the best, reliable option. Gonna be doing an install and maybe trying to do a DIY for you fellas this coming week.

Well I drove to a buddy of my shop in dallas to install my new tzr clutch and flywheel and while driving it back very very easy it is slipping again. Tried calling gtm to see what to had to say about my boost spike issues but no luck tonight. No coupler leaks, rechecked the wastegate tension, check all lines going to and from the boost controller and couldn't find anything.. Not a happy camper this evening.... Tomorrow Iam thinking about disconnecting the lines to the boost controller and see what happens just running off of the wastegates.... Keep in mind I only have a 10 1/2 hour drive back home... !@#$%^&*()

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned yet but have u tried turning off the vdc? When my rear tires where wearing the clutch slipped more and more until I changed the rear tires. When vdc is off it was fine. Dealer said it had to do with rear tire diameter being smaller and once I replaced the rear tires the clutch stopped slipping with vdc on. I know u said the stock clutch was fine but thought it wouldn't hurt to try. Hope u get it figured out

How many miles did you put on the clutch before pushing the car? I followed the directions straight from ZSpeed Performance website and do not have a problem with mine at all. Break-in period of 500-1000 miles during which slippage may occur. Care must be taken during this period not to overheat from excessive slipping. We strongly recommend no more than 1/2 throttle and no hard launches during this time.

I completely understand the break in procedure but while in 6gear easing on the throttle just past 4k the rpm's rev up and Iam pretty sure its not the tires breaking away... I think it has to do with the used boost controller I bought off of ebay. I have a sneaky feeling the solenoid is not opening the wastegates as they should creating these spikes...... Made it back from dallas after a 10hour drive and the car drove great.. Also replaced the 6sp mt fluid with some motul gear 300... like I said the stock clutch didn't even have any wear on it at all but I would have needed a clutch soon enough...
