Boosted Performance round 2 list

Happy to see upgrades but almost makes me wish I waited! Could be an option if I ever decide to go back to the OEM headers and sell the Z1

this should make the IC pipe a little shorter, wonder if it will help spool times, not that it is slow haha! BTW I am extremely confident in both the kit and reliability after the torture testing of a dyno session with Vince!

^^Awesome!

I finally got my Z 100% done. I had to do some gauges and finish up some exhaust work. I took it for a drive tonight and all seems well. I got that minor oil leak on the turbo oil reservoir resolved. A little thread tape fixed it. I have a couple of issues though that I will have to look at tomorrow or Wednesday. At lower RPMs I have a vibration in the drivers side floor board near my gas pedal. It doesnt do it all the time though. When it does its very noticible. I have no idea what it is at the moment. It could very well be something unrelated to the kit. Also I have a rev hang at around 1200 RPMs after the car gets nice and warmed up. If I push in the clutch and let the revs drop, it will drop, hover around 1200 RPMs, then drop slowly to regular idle. Idk if thats a tune issue that can be fixed or if its some sort of vacuum leak. Any ideas my fellow gentlemen?

Nice to hear you completed it. Welcome to the completed club, hope to join you this weekend.

I bet all of us have a long period of time where every little thing out of the norm we think is an issue with what we did to the car.

True. I try to remember there are lots of guys that pay shops to install a cat back exhaust. Then I don't feel like such a rookie when something doesn't come out just right.

Yeah I don't understand that either but I guess some people just don't feel comfortable or don't know how to work on a car. I do everything myself unless I look at it and determine it's not worth a weekend of work for a couple hundred bucks savings (i.e. diff bushing - those were well worth the labor I paid to get them done).

What are the pros and cons with a single turbo setup (like this BP kit) vs. a twin turbo (like FI kit). I know in the past single turbos were notorious for turbo lag, is this as much the case anymore?

Ok. I feel like a moron. Maybe because I punched myself in the face last night after slipping off a wrench for a final tighten down of everything. But I cant figure out how to hook up my wastegates with a manual boost controller.

The two bottom barbs T together and go to the drivers side intake pipe nipple.

The two top barbs T together and go to the intake of the boost controller.

So where does the out of the boost controller go?

Here is the result from the last customer (couple of days ago) that dynoed wit this kit....10psi and 400ft/tq at the wheels at 3,500 wouldn't be considered as "lag" in my books:

Tee off the charge pipe line that you are running to the bottom of the waste gates. I would recommend pretty close to the original intake pipe takeoff.

You could also tap the charge pipe for an additional barb if you want a new pressure source.

PM me your cell number and I'll shoot you a sketch of how I'm going to plumb mine. It's for a EBC but there is no difference between the manual and solenoid valve in the plumbing configuration with my Profec.

I know! But then I read the hallman install pdf and it had a diagram that said to never hook up anything to the upper ports and they should always vent to atmosphere. So again I was confused. I didn't want to bother you again so I just left it for tonight.

Great diagram though. It just contradicts hallmans website.
