Aem and Defi are the big guys, innovate is popular for AFR PLX is neat, almost when with them to be honest, but the 2 in one gauge is great...less know but heard they are really good is Zeintronics... I like the AEMs but 60mm would be nice, the 52 are just a tad small being in the middle, might be better on the pillar.
Not a must but I really like seeing the oil pressure, its more a false sense of security because it will probably be too late by the time I see the oil pressure is gone but I like to know, it was important enough for the 350z...

First of all I agree with Chuck, don't cheap on gauges! You will only save a few hundred bucks to go cheap so DON'T DO IT!
I looked at both the PLX and Zeitronixs because I was trying to run my entire setup with one gauge. Zeitronixs limits to two readings but will provide an audio alarm for anything else it monitors to tell you to pull your foot out of it. I was going to run AFR and Boost with it and monitor oil temperature on the audit alarm. You couldn't get both oil pressure and temp. PLX is nice because you can get the gauge that will monitor four items at once and if you plug into the OBDII it'll pull some stuff from the ECU that you can monitor. The draw backs were that you had to hook up, power and find space for five different 2"x3" modules if you were monitoring four items (the gauge module and one each for what you are monitoring), also a member on the forum was using them and he told me that at times the screen would freeze and the only way to correct it was to turn car on and off. Having four on screen still didn't allow me to monitor everything I wanted, which is AFR/Boost/Oil Temp&Press/Water Temp. I also recall that there were preset ways you could have the four gauge screen configure and it didn't allow the options I wanted on screen. In the end I became comfortable with the fact that I needed more than one gauge. Ultimately I decided on Innovate for AFR and the GReddy Multi-gauge for Boost/Oil Press&Temp. I am also plugging water temp into the GReddy but will only monitor it every once in awhile to see what temps I'm getting while beating on it on hot days. |

Bought mine from Ryan at Moddiction he is a newer vendor, but I bought shift knobs from him before, good prices and super fast shipping. Also Z1 is good, and Joe at Zspeedperformance, between those vendors I have had excellent service. With gauges everyone will be in the ball park I would say.
My vendor list of excellence(no order): Boosted Performance Z1 Zspeedperformance Moddiction R/T Tuning

I bought my GReddy gauge from THMotorsports mainly because they offered 15% off all GReddy products so I saved $70 on it. The Innovate I bought off Amazon because it was $35 cheaper than anywhere else.
I have had great experience with the people listed by Joe except I've never dealt with R/T Tuning. |

Again guys, thanks for the awesome info. It is very helpful.
So far im planning clutch/flywheel/cmc/csc, quaff rear diff, rear diff brace, guages, possible upgraded radiator and turbo kit and tune. Just trying to get as much unforeseen crap planned for as possible. After the kit ill be uprading from base brakes (dont need them right away, trying to go faster, not slow down ) and electronic boost control. Feel like I am missing tons of stuff, but maybe that is because this turbo kit comes with EVERYTHING. Is there any need to upgrade MAF sensors? Also can anyone think of a possible way to make it look like I have cats with this kit? Even if they are fake? Need to pass visual inspection only. Im thinking modifying the recirc pipes somehow to look like cats are on there, and hope for a dumb tech. I have test pipes now, and just slipped the guy 40 bucks to pass me. Dont think i will always get that lucky though

No need to upgrade the MAF sensors. The charge pipes are 2.75" and the OEM sensors are good for a lot more power than the stock block can handle.
If you do end up building the engine, I can always make some 3" charge pipes as well. This will be a lot cheaper than a pair of aftermarket MAF sensors.

I will try to make it on V-bands, that way you can just install the converter for inspection purposes, and then go back to a piece of straight pipe after the inspection is done. It would take about 5 minutes to swap it out once the car is up, and the area is accessible.

Sasha, after the round is done, how soon do you expect the next round to roll out?

Depending on exhaust fume smell once the car is fully tuned, I'm might order one from you to just run full time. I'd rather have something fabricated by you than have the random shop chop up the piping on the kit. |

Might be a bit late to the party, but I still like my aeroforce gauges. For those that don't want alot of gauges it shows two perimeters and will allow you to automatically set up cycling of perimeters that are less important.

Or do this. It cost me $75 total for Bluetooth obdII and used tablet and I have displayed AFR/Boost/Water temp/Intake Temp/EGT's/Timing Advance/MAF/and my ever missed Speedo! Its incredible. Plus my background is CARVIS which plays off of Iron Mans JARVIS system. Same look like he has in his HUD. Everyone loves it. It also talks to you when you have hit certain limits! Which is even cooler than alarms..lol.. If that layout isn't your thing you can switch to any of hundreds of themes and create your own gauge layout and look.
It also reads out current Horsepower and Torque which I have on another page of the layout which you just swipe your finger across the tablet to view. You can have up to 6 different pages of gauges. You can even track your cars route with it. It has a REAL mpg indicator if you punch in the numbers at the E85 pump station. There are hundreds of other functions it can read but I couldn't think of anything else I wanted displayed that would actually be useful. Also you can surf the web while driving which is super safe...lol.. But I stream Pandora through it and to my car speakers and I use google maps as my navi. The only gauge I don't trust of it is Boost. I am still running a Defi boost gauge and oil pressure gauge.
