Yeah, and these "performance" parts go to crap all the time where my old mans cars have ran to 300,000 on OEM Pontiac injectors. Not fair.

Anybody want to buy a set of ID1000's with one most likely junk for $350? Only used for 10K miles.

Did you ever talk to ID about them? Could probably market them to the four cylinder crowd pretty easily.

I did call ID. They will replace any bad injector for $85. I just don't even want to deal with these.

Injectors that have E85 ran through them should be taken out yearly and cleaned. The E85 is very corrosive. Also, make sure those injectors are E85 compatible. Some are and some are not.

does anyone else notice the cooling fans coming on at 75% duty cycle at around 180 degrees on the base tune? seems a little excessive to me...

Probably something added by Vince. My tuner has it full on at anything above 100degC. Up to that its a gradient. I prefer it that way but then again I live in Texas

Vince does this on every Z he tunes to my knowledge, mine were set there na, you now have an huge intercooler and an oil cooler blocking your rad, you want those fans pulling the air through, and these cars ar know for extreme engine temps...I say not overkill IMO! I almost hit 200 on oil after doing a couple runs while tweaking the boost controller, still that is impressive to me, once I have some better motoring(wishing I added water temp now, I may in the future) to see how my stock rad is keeping up. As for the pump, once the car is running I am almost accustomed to it, I have to listen for it now.

my car has yet to go over 180 degrees since adding the oil cooler, that is except for when it was on the dyno

That's exactly why I wanted the GReddy thermostat plate. Cold oil is just as bad if not worse than hot.

yea i drove it today. seems impossible to get the oil or the coolant over 180 degrees lol. i picked up a thermostat for the oil so that should help, but seems the coolant stays very cool as well. just noticed the fans running a lot, was just seeing if everyone else had the same thing going on.

It's a nice function if you are at the track. Park the car and crank the ac on high. That'll trigger full fan too and cool the car off quicker.

I also noticed substantially higher temps after I got tuned and turned up the boost. On WG I could barely get it to 90degC. Now that I'm running close to 10lbs I see 105degC when romping on it. I am in Houston though so its naturally hotter.

So I snapped a t-bolt while doing routine checks. I prefer the t-bolt clamps that have the round shank instead of the square like came with the kit. I also had to cut a few to clearance rubbing points which makes them one time use. Short story long I'm going to replace them the next time I do complete maintenance. Can anyone confirm my counts?
