Hmm I musta missed something. As mine won't fire. I'll take the intake mani off again and see what I can see

There are a lot of plugs. Make sure they are all properly seated. With no fire at all, I would lean towards the plug for the fuel rail.

blackonorange 04-08-2014 01:33 PM

Hmm possibly it's not seated, but it looks like it is.

Mitco39 04-08-2014 02:06 PM

I believe when I did my injectors I forgot to plug in one of my throttle body plugs. If you messed something up just check the codes with uprev, it will tell you exactly where to look.

blackonorange 04-08-2014 03:00 PM

Lol it was my injectors... Fuel everywhere... They weren't seated enough in the intake.... Oh bother...

Mitco39 04-08-2014 03:22 PM

Make sure you clean it up good, Id hate to see you blow it apart or catch the car on fire when you go to start it up.

Even though your close dont cut corners, I know its hard and exciting. haha. You getting tuned in Edmonton this spring perhaps?

blackonorange 04-08-2014 03:33 PM

lol yea I cleaned it up it wasn't that bad actually. I'm not sure if I am. I don't think I'll be able to get the days off

wow, be careful. did you use some lubricant on the injector o-rings before installing the rail?

TopgunZ 04-08-2014 03:40 PM

When I did my 350z I had Cosworth rails with ID1000's and they didn't seat at all. I had pools of fuel. Nobody told me I needed clips.

That's why I had to double check on this build as you don't use the clips with the stock rails. Live n learn. :ugh2:

Yea but I wasn't sure how hard I had to push them in as my 600dw slid right in. After it didn't start the first couple times I checked under my manifold and I could see a bit of wetness near the back injector. All is good now. Lol it sounds crazy with the amuse exhaust. Just waiting on the base tune.

Guys with BP kit mounted - do any of you have the HKS EVC 6 boost controller and could confirm that this is the proper mounting diagram:

http://www.laptopy-asus.pl/nissan/hks6.jpg

I have some problems with raising the boost - I can't make the HKS to make more boost than westgate spring. Maybe someone had similiar issues with that HKS?

JMac88 04-09-2014 06:41 PM

The common mistake with the hks is the initial programming. I would reset and start fresh. The first boost pressure it's asking for is when you want the hks to engage, not where you want target boost. I set mine at 7 psi. Then you set your target boost. Check your settings and report back. Chance are if it was not plumed properly you would be seeing crazy boost amounts

HKS is such a pita!

You should pay Vince an hour of labor to have his mechanic look everything over.
