Check your MAF plugs. Can you hear the fuel pump whine when you key on?

blackonorange 04-07-2014 10:55 PM

Yup all my plugs are good. I only tried a couple time. I didn't do my fuel pump as I already have one in from my last turbo kit that's been in there for 10,000 km.

m3chhawk 04-07-2014 10:58 PM

Hmm did you let it prime for a few before trying to start it?

Boosted Performance 04-07-2014 10:59 PM

Those injectors are a lot larger than stock, but the car should start. It will be very rich though. Just send me the ECU part number and I will get you the base map.

blackonorange 04-07-2014 10:59 PM

Is it supposed to start even with the bigger injectors tho? With no base tune ?

m3chhawk 04-07-2014 11:00 PM

Mine started and idled pretty well on the stock map

blackonorange 04-07-2014 11:00 PM

Word Sasha, I'll send it to you tomorrow. I'm done for the night .

I know Sasha already answered your question but I did update my response as I had the location a little off as I was doing it from memory. Had to pull mine this evening to get to Sasha and that's when I realized I misspoke.

No prob. Jwick.

2 questions.

1. If I pumped all the gas out of my tank from the pump housing, passenger, side, does it pull it from the drivers side as well? Do I still have a few gallons of gas in it? Im going E85 so I need to clean it out.

2. WTF is the syringe for in the kit?..lol. Ive read the install manual 3 times and have never seen where the syringe comes into play.

Very end you must prime scavenger pump. Use syringe to do that

What he said!

As for the fuel tank itself. No clue. I would tend to believe you still have some on the driver side. How you check or remove if you have it, you'll have to ask an expert... i.e. Ask Phunk.

blackonorange 04-08-2014 12:45 PM

The driver side also has an access panel to the tank as well of I'm not mistaken

Me too lol!

I also left the fuel pump disconnected while I primed the pump. Cranked it a few times, hooked up fuel pump and fired right away
