Took the Z out of storage. Took her for a spin. Still way to cold, but got me very excited and motivated to make this build happen. Trying to figure out what I have to sell to make it happen quick...

After I dyno on april 11th and I prove if the headers are useless for boost or not, you can sell those, I will if they bust!

Most diagrams I see use the turbo as the pressure source, the manifold is acceptable as a source? and why are the watesgates still connected to the intake tube? Sorry of the noob questions.

You want to use the IM source as it'll tell you the actual pressure at the motor, not what the turbo is seeing. There will be some loses along the way, mostly from FMIC. The WGs lines from the IM have to remain connected because that is what is supplying the pressure to open the WG. The pressure source line from the EBC is going to connect to the top of the WG (the banjo bolts Sasha tells you to leave open to atmosphere in the instructions if you are not running boost control pg 72) adding additional pressure on top of the WG Spring to prevent it from opening until desired boost level.

Actually as I look at this one a little more in detail mine will be plumbed up slightly different. I'm going to tap an extra barb into the IM to feed EBC Valve so I don't have to tee off the charge pipe hose. I'll likely add a second additional barb to the IM to run the feed hose into the cab for the pressure to the EBC control module. Also the one I bought only has two hoses at the actual valve. I'll not be teeing the BOV line. The EBC valve for mine just accepts one pressure source and the other end ties into the top of the WG (that line will have to be teed to tie into both WGs). I assume the differences are the type of EBC.

The EBC does not need a source from the IM, as it does not need vacuum at all. The entire wastegate/EBC system is based on pressure, so the charge pipes in the engine bay can be used for this.
Since the kit already comes with a couple of drill bits and a tap, it is easy to add another pressure source to either one of the engine bay charge pipes. I am sending an extra 1/8" by 1/4" barb now with every kit for this purpose. So if the customer ends up using a boost controller, they can just add the extra port.

I don't think it is an issue...the valve (solenoid) is closed while the engine/IM is in vacuum.

Weird. I thought they had proven results?
I guess we will see how they work with boost, I'll be pissed if I have to take the headers off again!

Since I am really considering switching to this kit from my GTM kit. I have done some trolling on the 6766 turbo I would get with this kit. This dyno is from a 3.0 Supra. I feel that if this is ran on a built motor 370z 700whp pump gas wouldn't be a problem at all.
