I did that at first but it felt weird, the weaker spring smoothed it out, I like it better with the weak spring.

has anyone run this kit with a stock clutch? I was thinking of waiting until the stock one gives out before replacing with something beefier.

its just inevitable, plus it is easier to do before the install.

Puckshaw ran the stock (or might still be on the stock clutch) but it isn't/didn't really hold up and he went with the Specialty Z clutch combo if I'm not mistaken.

I've thought about getting the helper spring. I might after the first day I'm stuck in a traffic jam on my way home form work.

theres no way I can install this kit myself I will be paying a shop to do it. How much is a good clutch these days?

Joepro 03-17-2014 07:47 PM

This is what I have, Joe said its rated at 550 wtq aiming for the 450 range so I hope it last awhile! Holding the base map hp/tq with 0 issues.

Along with the CSC, you need a new CMC too. It appears the CMC is a one use item. You bleed it down to swap the CSC and it'll eventually fail. Go ahead and count on one of those too. I had mine shipped for like $110.

All in all
CSC - $325
CMC - $110
Fluid - $18
Clutch/Pressure Plate/Flywheel - $700 - $1200 depending on how fancy you get
Labor - $500ish

The one Jlo linked you too would put you at about $2k after install

Boost isn't cheap. You'll likely spend the same amount on supporting mods, labor and tune as you did on the kit.
