As always, greatly appreciated.

I am confident that this will be a straight forward install, just like on the 370Z. I am also only a phone call away :).

Did you start yet? If so how is the install on the G so far?

Hey Sasha, I have the momentum DE headers. iirc the placement is the same, just different flanges. Is it possible to get the kit with those instead? When I did my full exhaust the De headers and tp's fit perfect to the Fi exhaust. Worst case you can send the kit without the flanges welded, but it might be a pain for me to take it to a shop and mock fit everything just to get it welded and take it back home to install you know?

Thanks!

When do you expect to have these new kits ready?

Someone else did this (joepro maybe?); however the welding caused some shifting and an extra flange had to inserted on the passenger side. Im not sure if this would have any real effect on the twin scroll design or if more care could be taken (more cooling) so that it aligns better.

Have not started the install yet. Got the car back from clutch install this afternoon and me and a buddy knocked out the CSF radiator install this evening.

All in all it's been a good week of modding for the G. New Z1 clutch/pressure plate/flywheel, new HD ZSpeed CSC, new CMC, new CSF Radiator and new 2008 G37 Thermostat (165degF). Now 500 miles of break in and start the turbo tear down!

You have no idea. I'm sure like most mods the stuff I'm expecting to be difficult will be fine and something easy will give us issues.

I am hoping May, but just can't commit to a date at this time. A lot of work ahead...hard to keep up.

There can always be setbacks...like today, I cut my left hand pretty good with a utility knife. Not enough to stop me, but may slow me down a bit.

Did a little art work before painting the FMIC black, gotta keep it a sleeper. Didn't turn out as well as I hoped but not bad. You'll only be able to see it if the bumper is removed anyway.

Looks great...but nobody will be able to see it.

Most likely. There is a grill in the G that doesn't exist on the Z so it might show but it'll be off to the side and you'll really have to look for it.

In preparing for a turbo kit I dropped the tranny this weekend to install my Southbend Stage 3 clutch and CSC. I know a lot of people in this thread are BP customers and therefore are able to do this themselves. I have also read about the "DEMON" bolts which attach the cats to the exhaust manifolds. I was going to button the car back up and drop her back off the stands in order to get some mileage on my clutch so after the turbo I can give her hell.

However, after seeing how easy the demon bolts were to get at with the tranny out of the way I decided to just take my cats off and let her sit as a statue until I install the kit. I pre-soaked the bolts with PB blaster overnight and attacked them the next morning.

I have NO idea how guys are doing this with having such a limited space. I do only have 10k on my car but its an 09 so 5 years of corrosion contributed to the demonicizing.

HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED!! Yup that's not 1 but 2 broken sockets. Had to go get an HD set with the thick sidewalls. These are craftsmen too with a lifetime warranty.

I guess I got lucky. When I installed my HFCs several years back the 'DEMON' bolts broken clean off. Really didn't give me much trouble at all. Hopefully I won't experience any issues getting the cats off.

This is true on my car I run 15 pound springs so my open dumps don't bother me.
