Never used one of these. Does it obstruct any air flow?

JMac88 03-13-2014 08:34 AM

It would be a very minimal restriction. Especially since the car has a turbo pulling in air. This pre filter is a dry filter, so it's supposed to help against water, mud, and dirt. Keep in mind you cannot submerge the filter.

After my last filter change it was just a bit more dirty then I liked so this is my solution. Hopefully I can just reach in, pull this off and wash it rather then trying to remove the whole filter all the time.

Send him a PM and ask him for it. I'm not handing out another man's cell phone number.

Clutch went in today, pick up the car tomorrow. Will be doing the CSF radiator install tomorrow and A/C recharge Saturday. 500 miles on the new clutch and finally begin tear down for turbo install. I'm so feining for boost it's not funny.

AlexRaymond19 03-14-2014 07:54 AM

jwick, are you going to do a journal while installing?

chrisbeltre 03-14-2014 08:29 AM

Does anyone has this kit installed? I would like to hear more information on how it performs. I am very interested in the kit but I want to do my research first.

Absolutely. Although I've done a few things here and there the tear down doesn't start until early April.

I will be interested to see how it goes for you. Im just waiting on the funds to pull this off. Shoot me a PM when you start the journal :yum:

jwick 03-14-2014 11:22 AM

It should be interesting. I'll be the first BP-G37. I'm going to try and do my best with the journal detailing out any differences so that Sasha can start marketing his kit to the G guys knowing exactly what it takes to get it installed.
