m3chhawk 04-11-2014 03:00 PM

What fuel?

Mitco39 04-11-2014 03:08 PM

Thats pretty much exactly identical to my numbers. I believe I am 530/430 on right around 10PSI myself. For the record the engine can take it with no issues :)

Joepro 04-11-2014 03:12 PM

93 ya we talked about for a few minutes and I decided to go on the conservative side.

Solid numbers Joe, congrats on the build...I am sure you will enjoy it for a long time.

I assume the lower numbers were on the base map?

palombo6801 04-11-2014 05:45 PM

okay sooo reading through this... makes me want to get a base model over the nismo so i have more $$ for this :icon18: .... nothing but good feedback that i can find on BP :tiphat: sooo great work ...only question i have is any issues with water? forgive me if this has already been asked or if the turbo location is completly sealed (work comp wont let me see pics ) :/ darn deployment... lol
either way this is starting to make me not want a nismo so i can get a kit :excited: haha

If you stay out of 1 foot deep puddles, you are fine. The filter is well protected by the engine, sub-frame, and of course nothing can get in from above.

:happydance::happydance::happydance::happydance:
well... this is making me lean more and more to a base model :driving:

now to just get back to the states already ....

elperuano 04-11-2014 07:54 PM

If the low numbers was the base map that's one helluva base map tune. Could pass for some shops ACTUAL tuned numbers.

nobdy_#608 04-11-2014 07:59 PM

first deployment got my Nismo never regret that! second deployment once i get back looking at getting this kit nothing but good things i keep reading the thread over and over!

Joepro 04-11-2014 10:42 PM

To clarify, he first tuned the car on wastegate pressure alone, this is the lower number. At that point we talked about power goals, I said over 5 was good, after a few more runs we decided that 480 tq was bit high for my lead foot, Id rather sacrifice a few ponies and tq for safety, so we settled on the 10.5 psi you see, and he pulled some timing out around 4500 where you see the dip where he pulled some timing, then brings it back in up top. He also believes as the boost controller runs longer it will smooth out holding the pressure as well, over, beyond pleased. I actually forgot to ask what it made on the base map. He also really wants someone to run e85 on this kit, he said with some 1k injectors he could safely put 600 whp on the stock block, there is just no e85 around my area.

Beautiful work as always, Sasha. I like the wheels on that 350Z. Are those Advans?

TopgunZ 04-11-2014 11:50 PM

I have ID1000's locked and loaded. E85 tune on the 19th.

Long day working on the G but we got a lot of good work accomplished. I'll create a build thread with pictures as soon as I download the pics from the weekend.

Completed today - Oil Cooler, Power Steering Relocation, Developed Location and Installation Method for GReddy Thermostat, Oil Block Adapter, Routed all Oil Lines (4 for Oil Cooler/Filter and Two for Exa Pump), Relocated OEM Oil Pressure/Turbo Feed Line/GReddy Oil Pressure Sender, Mounted FMIC, Mounted Exa Pump, Installed all IC Piping (no T-Bolts yet), BOV, Removed HFCs, Removed Y-Pipe, Relocated Wiring around Transmission and a bunch of zip ties, rubber hose to protect from braided lines, etc.

All in all a real good day worth of work. I have to admit we got much further than I expect in 9 hrs of working on it. Much appreciation to Chuck for all his effort...:tiphat:

Although there are a few minor things different with the G than a Z, I see no reason why Sasha should not start marketing this to the G guys too.

palombo6801 04-12-2014 02:08 AM

Just a quick ??.....this kit is or is not conpatable with cats or hfc's for those of use with emission testing??:/

Mounting this turbo sucks. Sure its a clocking issue. Time for a food break.

Got some big updates on the way....this clocking the turbo issue (not a real issue, just a hard thing to do for the first time) is being resolved. There will be a new thread on this in the near future.

jwick 04-12-2014 09:18 PM

Turbo is mounted just fighting that damn turbo coupler t-bolt

blackonorange 04-12-2014 09:33 PM

Yea that part is tough but once you get it. You'll be able to do it easily

Trying to post pic without phone...no luck.

jwick 04-12-2014 10:38 PM

So how many threads did y'all have showing past the t-bolt nut? I can only get a stubby socket on it and its bottomed out. No room for a deep socket. I'm counting like 4.5-5 threads clear past the nut

zguynate 04-12-2014 10:38 PM

I didn't have much of an issue with mounting the turbo. I loosened the bolts on the compressor housing, put it under the car where it needed to be, and tightened one bolt. Pulled it back out and tightened the rest. I was good to go.
