31 for me. However the clutch goes in Thursday and I'm doing the radiator swap Friday, so I guess I'm somewhat starting in two days.

thanks guys. glad to get it going finally thats for sure

zguynate 03-11-2014 09:38 PM

Im doing my RRP assembly install now. Ordering my clutch/flywheel on Thursday. Im not sure how many days I am away but Im trying my damndest to have everything done by ZDayZ lol.

Joepro 03-11-2014 10:17 PM

Its probably a good thing the weather is still not cooperating here because I would not be able to stop driving the car, boost so far is the most addictive thing I have yet to experience in my life...even pasta and pizza does not compare!

blackonorange 03-11-2014 11:35 PM

goin to get my car from storage on the weekend! then to the shop for clutch install then my place for the turbo install. Then an install of a bodykit if i can ever decide on what i want :s

blackonorange 03-11-2014 11:38 PM

im kinda concerned tho... i forgot the address of where my car is....

blackonorange 03-12-2014 12:25 AM

no one is running open dumps on a 370 bp kit yet i dont think... haha i had to try it out!

Joepro 03-12-2014 06:44 AM

I left a, clamp loose on one ofc the dunno tubes...ya it's gonna be fing loud

It's basically going to be open at anything over 1/4 throttle. You may want to have Sasha send you the recirc pipes as well so you have that option when (not if) it gets old.

TopgunZ 03-12-2014 10:25 AM

Yes it will scream and possibly kill small bystandards along the road. But some guys enjoy that wailing exhaust. I have a bud who would never recirc and lose that sound. Me however, nope.

Chuck33079 03-12-2014 10:28 AM

If I were running enough boost to be able to drive around without the wastegates starting to open, I'd consider it. If you run 15 psi and a 10 lb wastegate spring, it's easy to drive around without the wastegate ever opening up. On a Z running 10 psi and a 7 psi spring? Not gonna happen.

blackonorange 03-12-2014 11:54 AM

I youtubed it. The open dumps don't seem to loud!

:roflpuke2:

Yeah. That's the problem with youtube. It's too dependent on your phone/computer speakers. It's unbelieveably loud once it's open and you're in boost. And it's going to be right under you, so it'll be loud inside the car too.

jofro6 03-12-2014 12:09 PM

mmmm, open dumps sound delicious to me

OldBoy 03-12-2014 07:47 PM

I ran open dumps right after I finished the install just because I felt like it. I wanted to see just how loud it would've been. I just clocked the waste gates downwards and made a make shift cap end for the exhaust flange where the re-circ pipe would come into the cat back.

It's pretty damn loud, lol but only when you really punch it. It's easy to drive away without boostin' so it's quite easy to keep it civilized.

I might have killed a squirrel or 2 on the side of the road because of the sheer noise :rofl2:

TopgunZ 03-12-2014 11:16 PM

Probably the best part of open dumps is pulling alongside of a Harley rider and his bud, having them throw full choke at a red light, then you gettin on it and blow their ear drums out and look at you with their jaw below their 2 ft beard going...WTF???

And unless your iPhone can blow off at 110 decibels...YouTube vids are useless.

For anyone who wants a pre filter, part number PL-5207DK fits like a glove

Never used one of these. Does it obstruct any air flow?

JMac88 03-13-2014 08:34 AM

It would be a very minimal restriction. Especially since the car has a turbo pulling in air. This pre filter is a dry filter, so it's supposed to help against water, mud, and dirt. Keep in mind you cannot submerge the filter.

After my last filter change it was just a bit more dirty then I liked so this is my solution. Hopefully I can just reach in, pull this off and wash it rather then trying to remove the whole filter all the time.

Send him a PM and ask him for it. I'm not handing out another man's cell phone number.

Clutch went in today, pick up the car tomorrow. Will be doing the CSF radiator install tomorrow and A/C recharge Saturday. 500 miles on the new clutch and finally begin tear down for turbo install. I'm so feining for boost it's not funny.

AlexRaymond19 03-14-2014 07:54 AM

jwick, are you going to do a journal while installing?

chrisbeltre 03-14-2014 08:29 AM

Does anyone has this kit installed? I would like to hear more information on how it performs. I am very interested in the kit but I want to do my research first.

Absolutely. Although I've done a few things here and there the tear down doesn't start until early April.

I will be interested to see how it goes for you. Im just waiting on the funds to pull this off. Shoot me a PM when you start the journal :yum:

jwick 03-14-2014 11:22 AM

It should be interesting. I'll be the first BP-G37. I'm going to try and do my best with the journal detailing out any differences so that Sasha can start marketing his kit to the G guys knowing exactly what it takes to get it installed.

As always, greatly appreciated.

I am confident that this will be a straight forward install, just like on the 370Z. I am also only a phone call away :).

Did you start yet? If so how is the install on the G so far?

AlexRaymond19 03-14-2014 07:58 PM

Hey Sasha, I have the momentum DE headers. iirc the placement is the same, just different flanges. Is it possible to get the kit with those instead? When I did my full exhaust the De headers and tp's fit perfect to the Fi exhaust. Worst case you can send the kit without the flanges welded, but it might be a pain for me to take it to a shop and mock fit everything just to get it welded and take it back home to install you know?

Thanks!

When do you expect to have these new kits ready?

Someone else did this (joepro maybe?); however the welding caused some shifting and an extra flange had to inserted on the passenger side. Im not sure if this would have any real effect on the twin scroll design or if more care could be taken (more cooling) so that it aligns better.
