YUP!

Three kits are going out today, and the other three will go out on Monday. Will be contacting the other three customer today/tomorrow with final balances owing. Everything is boxed up and ready to go.

I am looking at building a few more kits in the very near future here as well.

Drove my car to work last night so I can get started on the teardown and was just trying to imagine an extra 150whp...it was on the verge of getting wet in my car...

You might want to line your interior with a plastic sheet because its going to get really wet in there once you're boosting. :excited:

I went with Z1 full face and a TurboXS manual boot controller. EBC is nice but not necessary for my build levels.

Just finished a custom twin scroll kit for a 350Z. This is the one with two high flow converters:

If I had the cats installed, would I be able to have the post cats sensors enabled and not throw a CEL? May be a great option for us 370z guys if we can have the post cat sensors enabled to pass emissions, then switch out for the straight pipe after emissions.

It would work. You'd only need extensions for the O2 sensors and to re-enable the monitor for the post cat sensors.

I wonder what import duty would be on bubble wrap???

I'll update my old thread with pics , I gotta say, I'm a welder/fabricator by trade and this work is fantastic.

Whats the advantage of twin Cats in single pipe over single cat?

Flow will double. Flow through a straight pipe will be high, but you don't want to choke it with a single converter...so you open it all up/increase flow with two.

Wouldn't you have to run a single on the 370 with the oem setup? I don't see there being room for two. At what power level would you expect a single 100cell to become a flow issue?

TopgunZ 02-24-2014 02:57 PM

Could you also just place the hfc's in the midpipe where the resonators usually are welded in? This would make for a very easy swap for so many of us who have to swap cats in to take it to the emissions test. That setup would then work for any turbo/supercharger setup.

m3chhawk 02-24-2014 03:10 PM

The BP kit doesn't utilize the Fast Intentions mid-pipes

jlo370z 02-24-2014 07:00 PM

now im excited, have a tracking # whoo hoo!

Sasha you the man!

one more part I can sell! Guahahaha.

TopgunZ 02-24-2014 07:21 PM

Huh? Are you sure? I think it replaces the y pipe not the mid.

Same boat but I've really considered keeping the HFC's to cannibalize them to weld into the system post turbo. Hate to cut them up but I'd spend more on replacing the actual cats than I would make by selling them.

Ahh yes you are correct... I didn't have resonators, so I thought they were in the "y-pipe" portion.

Is it possible to do what I drew up in the picture to trick the post cat sensors so it doesn't throw a code? Or is that impossible? Just an idea.

jwick 02-25-2014 08:17 PM

If I follow your diagram you just want to put a bypass in the downpipe that has a cat in it and then place the sensor post cat?

Pretty much.

ENT-Z 02-25-2014 09:24 PM

For what it's worth I do not have any sensors disabled and have been running the BP kit for over a year. I have thrown a faulty cat code one time only and cleared it and it never came back. We don't have the "sniffer" test where I live, just scans the ECU.

We scan the ECU here too in IL. The problem is that if it shows that the post cat sensors are turned off, it's a automatic fail.

It's entirely possible that setup will work. The only hiccup I see is if there would be enough diverted flow to make the sensor happy. Flow is always going to follow the path of least resistance.

I really think it's just something that would have to be tried out.

It would probably be a $500+ experiment to give it a shot.

m3chhawk 02-25-2014 10:21 PM

If you don't have to pass the sniffer test, just ECU, why not use O2 simulators?

KaienZ34 02-25-2014 10:33 PM

No testing or even a look under the hood or car, too bad I haz no boost. :crying:

blackonorange 02-25-2014 10:45 PM

No testing or anything like that here. Although I did get a ticket for inadequate fenders as my wheel setup is very aggressive and the side walls of my tires stick out like an inch due to the stretched tire.

O2 Spacer - Oxygen Sensor Spacer - CEL / MIL Fix - Oxygen O2 Sensor Adapter - O2 Sensor Extender

I'm not very familiar with them but apparenly you screw this inbetween the existing bung and O2 sensor

I wonder if it will wonder considering these will be sitting in the headers between the engine and turbo.

Smart Oxygen Sensor Simulator o2 simulator [smart_o2sim] - $95.00 : O2simulator Authority

This is the route I'll be going if I can't get cats on. We also switched to the scanned test for emissions, so the need for cats is not really needed. The only reason I would want to have a cats on is to prevent an MTO agent giving me a hefty fine for not having cats on the car...
