Haha, I'd be sleeping on the couch and getting no gift. My wife tries hard, but its hard to surprise me with a car gift because the stuff us guys want, is very specific. You cant just go get a clutch. It has to be THIS clutch. So if I get car parts, I usually know whats coming since she has to ask lol.

I'm not sure if the guys in the video are really from Canada or just being d1cks.

They, are from one of our provinces (Ontario) it is a local Hip Hop group that did the video as a joke, and it went viral. I though it was awesom/funny.

Soooon...very soon. You will get your complete kit maybe even by the end of next week, depending on the parts that are inbound (hope they arrive tomorrow).

KaienZ34 02-13-2014 02:25 PM

So "go for a rip" means lets cruise, go for a ride, roll out, etc?

Not trying to be an azz, just I've never heard the term used that way.

fuct 02-13-2014 02:30 PM

rip = taking a hit of the pipe/bong/joint ect...

:ugh2:

That's the way I've always understood it as well. Maybe that part is a given since we're dealing with Canadians? :rofl2:

blackonorange 02-13-2014 04:21 PM

Rip= cruise or ride, also lines of cocaine can be referred to as rips or rippers. This is what modern rap vids tell me anyway.

Mitco39 02-13-2014 04:47 PM

Trying not to derail the thread, but this seems relevant to the current conversation. lol

Yes sir...I have it all shipped to the office since there is always someone working the front desk for signature. The receptionist probably hates me but it's better than the hassle of scheduling around UPS or even worse having it sit on my front porch while I'm at work.

Joepro 02-17-2014 02:24 PM

Got the innercooler, I get stuff shipped to work too, its so much easier for receiving stuff, I walked into the shop with the box and one of our techs has a 515 whp neon and he was more excited me when he was the treadstone box...this kit really is top shelf parts...

I got an email from the receptionist that I had a very large box from a 'Treadstone'. I was like, SWEET, I know what that is!

Anybody running a HFC with this? Or is it not recommended due to heat?

With an OEM like exhaust it is possible. I am doing this on a 350Z twin scroll kit for a customer that requested it.

These are $500ea, just for the converters (3"inlet 3" outlet):

Boosted Performance

Check out the MillSpec Cats. Way cheaper and are 304 SS and you can get them in 100 Cell or 200 Cell.

These are what we use at the races for GTA Event.

Would you be able to make one like that with an O2 bung on each side for our 370's? I live in a magnificent province of tree huggers who enjoy fu#@!^g us over with useless emissions test every 2 years. I was planing on getting an O2 simulator just so I can turn on my secondary O2 monitor back on for the test but if I can get functioning cats on the car, that'd be much better. Something easily removable would be awesome.

BP gets better and better!

Reason I asked was because I was thinking about picking up berk hfc...but hopefully planning on getting a BP kit either at the end of the year or early next year.

I love to roll my windows down when weather permits, but didn't want to deal with fumes.

I did the BP kit install myself then brought it to project X to let them look it over. Then had them put in the new clutch and flywheel.

You probably will experience slipping with the stock clutch at 500whp.

Not all clutches require a 1,000 mile break in, "ANY" full face clutch should be broke in a minimum of 500 miles, This allows the clutch material to flatten out so it will hold all of the TQ it is made to hold.

Puck style clutches can be broke in in as little as 300 miles as they are more abrasive and will seat/flatten out faster.

Kevlar clutches require a 1,000 mile break in because of the material, It is non-abrasive which will take longer to settle in, but on the up side, it doesn't wear the opposing surfaces (flywheel and pressure plate)

Sasha, where would you recommend putting the cat if you have the OEM like exhaust? Would you just put a single in the downpipe after bend prior to OEM-like mid-pipe flange? What about inserting two, one in each branch, in the mid-pipe?

Going E85 is another option. That was one of the reasons I went with it. The fumes are barely detectable without cats. When I was on 91 it was giving me a headache.

Plus its a whole lot easier to pass strict emissions regulations when running E. You only have 15% petrol to deal with and any HFC will get you by.

Sasha, This would be awesome to see so people could swap a cat in place for testing and swap it out when done. So much easier than taking the turbo itself off and all piping.

It would go in the circle:

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps0c9d7d27.jpg

The second part of the down pipe would be replaced by a high flow converter. The recirc would probably have to be moved a bit further towards the back, but that is not a big deal. The recirc would also be after the cat, so only the exhaust gases that go through the turbo would go through the converter while in boost.

Kind of figured that is where you would want to put it. I was hoping to not have to modify your piping any.

Now if I only had a shop I trusted to modify your piping here in Houston.

I'm going with the Z1 Full Face setup and ZSpeed CSC.

The prices are actually pretty comparable. Seb quoted me a much better price than what was on the website. I've heard good things about both setups but I think I'm going with Specialty Z.
