Obviously this is not a Ponzi scheme. What we do see is classic small business cash flow issues. Sam is the backbone of the business and his health incident may have been a terrific blow to the company. 1 in 4 small business owners don't have any health insurance in this country, so that question comes to mind also.

If cash flow was not an issue, GTM would be responding to all this bad publicity by speeding up refunds. Their slow action only creates more doubt. Not in your mind of course because you have a vested interest in it not being true.

From what I have read GTM have always been slow in both communication and action. This goes back for years and I don't think that it is really news to anyone here. I haven't dealt with them myself previously but the quality of their products seems to have always made up for thier failings in other areas.

If you want to read into the current situation that GTM have cash flow issues then thats fine, I have thought of that myself in the past. What I would would personally never do, is make comments insinuating such a thing without anything more than vague guesswork to support my hypothosis. Especially when I have no involvement with the company and others do. I would definitely never make such comments in a discussion about a product that I have no personal interest in and that others have resonably large amounts of money invested in. That would (in my opinion) be a very low thing to do, due to its sole visable purpose of attempting to create histeria, fear, doubt and panic in others.

I liken it to someone that you have just met tellng you that they have a headache and then going around telling that persons family and friends that you think that its probably brain cancer. Based on the evidence at hand you could end up being correct but its still a prick of a thing to actually do......

I still have an interest in seeing GTM succeed. I still want my CARB certified supercharger from them. I would take no pleasure in seeing them fail. That said, some people need to open their eyes a little. Something is not right here.

It's never been this bad. It's never been great, but this has gotten really bad.

We don't agree often, but you hit the nail on the head here.

I can just imagine the feedback on this forum if GTM started cancelling the group buy discount for anyone who hasn't paid yet without letting them know beforehand!!! It would be pure carnage!!!

I hope you are right. It is NOT fair for GTM to eliminate anyone the group buy without letting them know. So far, we heard nothing from GTM announcing anything like that in this forum. Am I correct ? Please..

Nothing indicating that. It's all just rumours at the moment.

I hope Sam and GTM can pull through this fragile situation because like I mentioned earlier, they are the only one so far in the market that can provide such a turbo kit that is as close to factory made as possible. So, think positive and hope we can support them through this nightmare and by the end we'll all be benefited.

Let's not go crazy here. They make a good kit, but things will always have to be massaged to fit. Aftermarket parts will never fit as well as factory.

GTM is offering what looks to be a good kit at a good price and I think despite all of our current frustration we are for the most part all excited to see what it can do when it becomes a reality, can we leave it at that and not have this thread derail yet again?

Good to see that the entire point of my post was completely missed......

I hope that I am never on a plane with either of you guys. If there was a noise that sounded slightly off you two would probably scream "we're all gonna die!!!". Instead of doing the clever thing which would be to ask a flight attendant if everything was ok. But hey, at least screaming "we're all gonna die" lets everyone on the plane who has already heard the same noise know that there may possibly be a problem, right....

elperuano 01-24-2014 05:14 PM

Point of perspective.
All the passengers here have been asking the flight attendant wtf is that noise and getting completely ignored. You're gonna sit there and get ignored til the crash?
There are 2 types of passengers. The ones who did nothing and crashed into the towers and the passengers who fought back and crashed and saved hundreds of lives.
I know what type of passenger u are now and I can assure u I'd never wanna fly on the same plane as you.

The nice thing about a plane is the flight attendant is readily available to ask that question. Maybe Sam is more like a pilot. They are easy enough to get ahold of while boarding, but when you need straight answers in an emergency during flight, they aren't available. Or they come on the intercom and tell you everything is ok while you are dropping 500 feet per second.

Any more poor analogies in your tool belt?

Chuck33079 01-24-2014 05:22 PM

Isn't it more like asking the gate attendant where the plane is since your flight was supposed to leave twelve hours ago and there's still no plane in sight?
