Just keep in mind that the CARB-legal kit has not blown people's socks off. Only with a custom tune has the Stillen SC been shown to make good power.

This is true. Also a lot of supercharged cars have new headers or HFCs or both to get those higher hp numbers and stillens own HFCs aren't carb legal.

This is the myth most people still can't seem to get past.

Ya I know, right now I have the gen 3's along with the FI HFC and exhaust. I'm at 305 HP on a dinojet no tune. Good for my DD. I'm not looking to compete with everyone on the forums for HP numbers, you know that always gonna be a loosing battle. Lol

Been there done that, i mean who needs more than 600whp on a moderate DD? lol :D.

^Exactly^

Would any of you suggest running headers with the GTM 1.5 SC?

SS_Firehawk 03-20-2013 04:24 PM

Not 100% sure if long tubes fit. Also it's hit and miss whether the SC can build enough pressure. I'm trying with the twin SC system so hopefully we have a few more answers.

But short answer is the stock headers are more then adequate.

No it is not necessary just look at my car.

guess I'm chime in since guys are talking about me LOL WHATs up guys,

So anyway STAY AS FAR away from the dealer is posiable, They will for one NOT warranty anything, guys are right!!! warranty is GONE. "I had a SIGNED receipt from the dealer I had emails from the dealer telling me NONE of my warrenty would be lost, HELL mine even said the pharse: DRIVETRAIN warranty will NOT be voided" Infiniti CORP will tell you go pound sand."

For one they wont or most likey will not have anyone with experiece with this kit installing or diaq'n issue, Mine didnt and thats why my car went BOOM. Two you will not make 500 WHP on this kit WAY to hard and you will need to run big boost and a built motor. I made just shy of 460 WHP at 10 PSI, Cliff made 470's with 12-13 PSI with a upgraded Imperller( I had this) and a cog set up that my "Dealer" Couldnt install right along with a lot of other things, So I was on the Stock Stillen pullies and the Imperller from Votech. But please if you want 500 WHP do not get he Stillen go a different way,

Dont get me wrong the kit is very well made and will make 412-430 WHP with a custom tune and be fine, Just do not look for BIG power. I chased it like you told guys " NO I'll get there" I failed and burned HARD and lost a ton of $$$$$$$$$

I am really sorry to hear about all of your misfortunes. It's particularly disappointing that so many people you dealt with were not honest with you. I hope there will be brighter days ahead for you and your car.
