Going FI with VSR Motorsports top mount single turbo
I have finally decided to go FI and my choice was a VSR top mount single turbo. The install will be going down mid may. I don’t know how I am going to hold out for 2 months but that was the only time work permitted. I would like to hear from others who have this same kit and could give me any words of advice. I would actually like to hear from anyone as this is my first turbo vehicle (never even driven a car with a turbo) and I am not sure what to expect. This kit puts down about 450 to 550 whp from what I have seen and I would be happy at the lower end of that, as the 370 is my DD. I would appreciate any input.

You'd be amazed at how long some can take. Hell when I had my STS kit installed it took them 9 weeks to do a 18-24hr install. It's all about the shop and their knowledge of the Z. Good luck with it....I had a single and put 481hp on 93 octane.

If ur goin to a shop that doesn't have knowledge with the Z then that's the problem.
A top mount turbo should take nowhere near 2 moths to complete. I'll wait for OP response I'm sure I understood it wrong. |

It's the only opening for him to get his car there due to his work schedule, I'd imagine it doesn't take long for VSR to install it because they manufacture the kit and only they install it. You could always pay for transport if you have another car OP Good luck with your build, I'm still waiting for mine...

i will be bringing the car to them in two months (im and an hour and a half south of them) they say that it will take 2 to 3 day for install and tune. they will have all of the parts there ready to go. to my knowledge there should be atleast a couple of other guys on this forum that have the kit installed and are very happy with the outcome of the product and the customer service.

Yea that sounds about right.
Yea there are a few guys here that have this kit when they were called S&R. So far everything seems good with them except for one guy who sold his car pretty quick after install but he said for personal reasons. Good luck OP! I'm further south about an hour n half away from me. If u ever come down I'd love to see the ride when it's all said n done. |

GTM's instructions? I was sent a fantastic instruction manual with color photos of each step. I was very impressed. You didn't get the same?
