Iam almost completed installing my gtm tt stage 2 kit and after speaking with sam he recommended going with one step colder spark plugs but also said I didnt have too. How many others have or have not went went colder plugs? Keep in mind where I live we have 92-93 octane gas..

Gtr plugs :) specialty z has em. Their iridium plugs heat range 8

I have a stage 1.5 GTM SC and I went 1 step colder, you won't see a difference by the seat of your pants but when you log it with ROM editor you can see that the timing is not being pulled back anymore.

I went with heat range 9...the highest I found. It might not be needed but better safe than sorry. I picked up the HKS iridium plugs. Of course I don't have them any more but if Baer383 is saying go colder and sam is saying the same...listen to the ones who know best.

I'm getting colder plugs as well on my build... Just after I bought brand new stock ones lol.

I Imagine you could go to the auto parts store and see if they have plugs for a GTR but I don't know what year to give them. |

I spoke with sam today from gtm and he said the stock plugs would be fine since Iam not running high boost and I have atleast 91 octane where live. Thanks again the help..

Spark plugs aren't that expensive considering how much spent with the TT setup. If you can make the switch, it won't hurt.
I've been running GTR plugs since the kit was installed at 22k miles. I'm around 45k now. |
