I think CARB and my bank account are saying SC. I hope things fit okay with the Frozen Boost heat exchanger (just flip the crash bar upside down, right?) Let's see if I have enough patience to wait for a Black Friday special (they had one last year).

I didn't flip my crash bar, we cut off the tow hook mount and bolted a tow strap to the plate that was left. I stuck the strap up in the bumper so it doesn't block any cooling. It has a zip tie on on the strap so I can pull it out of the bumper if I need it.

Are you on their email list? They have sales several times a year.

I at one point thought of buying the Stillen but when i read about the wall you hit in hp and the many headaches some people have gone thru with trying to get more out of it i change my mind and went turbo. Best decision i have made cause 430whp at 8psi already is starting to feel slow!

Would flipping the crash bar allow me to keep the tow hook?

You can't use it then unless your going to drill a big hole in the bumper in front of it.

True dat. I mean, come on, just a few years ago 400+ *was* a monster street car.

Besides, if I have the need for stupid fast, I can always jump on my motorcycle.

Nope and if you keep the crash bar the right side up. You have to cut the tow hook off. I had to on my G coupe. BTW there is NO CARB sticker. Guys get hooked on this all the time. The Carb sticker is "IF" you run their can tune. Yes they have said they fixed their can tunes but I just saw someone one here this month install their kit and make 342 WHP :/ Thats what I made on their canned tune . You'll need a custom tune or you paid 8-9k for 40 WHP .

A deal breaker for the Tow-Hook-As-Bling crowd

I know I won't technically be carb, but as long as I have the sticker for cops and to pass inspection, I'm good. I might have to get the fast intentions bar them for the tow hook.

I prefer to believe Stillen when they say they have a dedicated tuner working on their tunes now, rather than the opinion of one install which could have been done by a n00b.

To me, the Stillen warranty would be utmost and I would prefer to work with their tune which if I am not mistaken is voided with a different tuner?

If you plan on keeping the canned tune, you might as well walk away from the whole project. Search around for guys who have dynoed the stock tune. It's an abortion and unless you plan on the custom tune, you're going to be unhappy. Also, their warranty is questionable given that Stillen kits have killed more motors than turbo setups running 100whp more.
