I believe from the failures we have seen, in the upper gears, it has been the TQ that is more responsible for the damage than the HP. Mainly because the TQ is what is going to punish the transmission early on and fast while HP gradually increases throughout the powerband. Saying the SC lower TQ will help in the long run probably is not ideal as both are going to put extra strain on the transmission.
Now onto the specific TT or SC, since you threw in the VB upgrade either will be great. At that point it will boil down to what your goals are & expectations for the kit(s). Some of your key differences are, SC is a bit more instant response while the TT has that small spool (.5 of a second or less), the SC kits have a bit more linear progression through the powerband where a TT is very upfront.
