Does anyone have or know anyone who has experience with a built transmission from Pure Transmission?
I only just recently heard about them, and curious to know how well they hold up with high hp/tq. So far I know of: 1. Level 10 - stay away, lots of horror stories 2. IPT - hit and miss from what hear from customers 3. RJM - seems to have gone quiet on their trans or I haven't hear anything from their 7AT customers. 4. Fast Intentions - only build inhouse 5. Pure Drivetrain Solutions - only just heard about them |

But the setup, wiring etc sounds to be very compliacted. I am unsure if I could trust anyone in Australia to perform such a setup, and it sounds like it is going to cost almost 2x a built 7AT setup. |
Just found this blog post yesterday, and they were very responsive in getting back to me via email. They offer bellhousing modification, powder coating and they sell steel and Al driveshafts.

Here's some more info. with video but it wasn't into a Z. Seeing the Godzilla webpage is promising that the trans fits in the Z unibody with modification. http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...sion-swap.html |

I'm looking into this swap with Godzilla. Does anyone know if the VR30 Red Sport 7AT is different than any other VR30TT 7AT? Are the internals the same? Chris at Godzilla thinks they are but couldn't positively confirm... My stock 7AT with Trans Cooler and Billet Flexplate is holding up for now but this upgrade will give me some good piece of mind...

May be going this route in lieu of the BMW DCT swap. I could sell that DCT and cover most if not all the costs of doing the Q50 7AT swap.
A part of me wants to just do the SC kit first and run it till the stock 7AT goes though, and maybe by then we get more info on the 9G Tronic in the new Z and if that might be retrofitted somehow (am not hopeful though, and certainly can't just swap controllers over.) |
