Bob,

Sebastian was at our shop this morning. We spoke in detail about your install. I expressed to him that I am confident we should meet our original projection of getting your car in there sometime next week. He will most likely be doing your install at the same time we are doing the first production kit on our end. This actually works out great. SpecialtyZ is a very reputable shop and great friends. Seb and Greg are extremely knowledgeable and they have over 45 years combined experience on the Z. Having them 20 minutes away allows both shops to give each other feedback and dial in the installation manual. The feedback of another professional installer will help accelerate writing the instruction manual and effectively allow us to start shipping sooner!

Thanks, Tony

Thanks for the update. I am super stoked and have been having a hard time sleeping because all I can think about is getting my car to Specialty Z for the install. What I appreciate about Seb's is his straight forward approach and honesty. He is not is in it to sale me more than what I need to get the most out of my Z. Also there has been much discussion over the cost of your kit....I guess to each their own, my money and my fun. I also feel like I have bought into one of the most impressive teams I in the market place today. Yup...If that makes me a "Fan boy", then I'm all in!!!!

What can I say...First off, Seb and Greg are a rare find. They are on a very short list of shops that do it right the first time in every aspect of the build. In a lot of ways our two shops are almost as one. We have worked together everyday for over 12 years. That kind of relationship takes that long to build. It has been tested in past years but has always passed. This is why they are our Southern California "Certified Installer." Sure, for anyone who is local can take their car to anyone they choose. As far as we are concerned, this is who we stand behind, and they stand behind us!

As for our kit being expensive, those who think that are not peeling back the layers of what is involved in putting just one of these kits together. They are comparing our kit to others that are on the market, and that is not a fair comparison. I have spoken to dozens of potential customers who were on the fence. Every single time in a one on one phone or face to face conversation with 10+ minutes to give them the facts and real comparisons, the light comes on and they all have agreed with me why our kit is the right choice. Sure, sometimes they say it is just out of their price range and there are no hard feelings there. I get it, I want a Lamborghini Aventador and probably will not be able to justifiably afford one in this lifetime. But I don't look at it and say, "it's too expensive!" I look at it and think one day, maybe it will happen.

Back to our TT Kit. With the amount of time and care, quality of parts, consistency of quality, customer support before during and after the build, efficiency of how the kit will perform, reliability of how the kit will last, we know the price is fair for all parties involved. Right now this is all in limbo mode because the kit has taken so long to actually get to production. Once you all start giving your independent feedback the non believers and ones on the fence will start to believe and the others will cross the fence line. I honestly believe that. It is going to be a great holiday season for our customers.

Thanks to all.

Tony

What's the 0-60 time?!?!?!

(I don't know if my text sent, but I was just giving you crap. I'm trying to massage CubanZ to get your kit installed)

I did get the text. It was a little confusing but I understood it after reading it a few times. The 0-60 time with the track tires is sub 3 seconds for sure. The car was cutting high (1.6) 60 fts. If we were not fighting the suspension, we could of gone 10's for sure.

As for CubanZ I have met him in person. We talked in length. He has seen the prototype car running in person. We were trying to set up a marquee Sunday @ Super Car Sunday in Woodland Hills but everyone from FI @ SZ was out of town for a wedding. The event went well from what I saw in pictures.

We are planning on having a booth at the Motors4Toys "Big Sunday" show on December 1st. All of our cars will be there including the prototype and some TT parts on display. I am confident that the 1st production car will be there as well along with maybe even another production car that SZ is installing over the next 3 weeks.

Thanks, Tony

If this kit had existed in Q1 2012 I'd have bought it in an instant. I'm trying to talk my buddy with a G37 into buying it.

Oh for sure! With decent bushings and getting the suspension to cooperate it should be sub 2.5 seconds!

Thanks, Tony

The most expensive part of this kit was buying my wife a new car(CTS wagon).

The most difficult part...deciding how I want to drop off and pick up this car. Oh, I am DEFINITELY driving it home. I just hope I can keep my foot out of it to make it to the next e85 station without calling Allstate 5 times for gas.

This may just be the greatest Christmas ever( Birth of 2nd child, FI TT kit, graduation, amazing new job, so on and so forth).

Happy boosting guys!
