Who did you email? Sometimes it is hard to catch every notification on IG.

I would suggest you give them a call it will be waaay easier and they will answer every question you have and even give alternatives depending on you goals. Their customer service is pretty damn top notch.

Yup. Tony is da man!

He sent me custom portions of my FI exhaust to help me mate to a competitors turbo kit. Couldn't of asked for a better service experience than FI provided.

Anyone have experience with this kit at higher elevations that dont sell 93 octane? here in colorado all we have is 91 octane.

We only have 91 in CA and I ran my car on it for over a year @ 8PSI with no issues. :driving:

Drew303 04-09-2015 12:26 PM

I ask because many people say that due to high altitude you can get away with lower octane. I am not necessarily worried about 91 in general I just want to make sure I dont leave 100+ HP on the table due to gas!

VSS370z 04-09-2015 01:44 PM

With a good tune and 93 or higher octane gas you will always be able to extract more power but if you only have 91 available then stick with that and keep it around 450-500 whp with a conservative tune which is usually what many here do running 91 pump gas.

Sounds just right 500whp with proper tuning. Also, try to keep your engine oil and coolant temps as low as your system allows. 185F - 190F coolant temp with 200F - 220F oil temp. The bottom lime is to prevent detonations the best that we can. That is almost the sole factor of blowing up any motors.

VSS370z 04-10-2015 10:12 AM

:iagree: Basically don't skip on supporting mods.

djtodd 04-10-2015 10:14 AM

^Fuel system, cooling, and tuning. Get those right and you've no reason to worry

I'm not at 7,000 feet, about half of that. At higher altitude a twin turbo is your best choice for performance. As you know at higher elevations the oxygen levels are lower so performance will not be the same as sea level. Your car will not perform as well at altitude, but that does not mean you can't get the most out of it for that elevation. The best way to do this is getting your car tuned there in Denver. My car was tuned in the LA area so the performance drop is noticeable but not enough for me to be upset about it. It is actually kind of fun because when I go to Las Vegas, Phoenix or LA and drop elevation it's like driving a new car, she flat gets up and goes. Also, if you have e85, I would go that route and then you can make well over 500whp safely. If you don't want too that or it's not available, you can do what I did and get tune for 100 octane as well. That will light it up at elevation as well. :tiphat:

The Flex Plate is currently available. I currently have two left in stock. Specs are:

*Billet Aluminum CNC cut
*SFI Approved
*OEM Torque Converter Placement
*All new ARP Flex Plate & Torque Converter hardware included

Please contact us for pricing on the Flex Plate. As for the transmission, it is currently being reworked. We found that the stock replacement amount of Exedy clutches are not enough to support the 620+ RWH / 550+ RWT that Cy's car makes. In a collaborative effort between us (FI), Exedy directly and our transmission builder, we are working to create a package that is specifically for the JR710E "AKA" 7AT. As soon as I have the transmission back in hand, we will schedule the first possible track day to further our testing.

Thanks.

Tony,

I called FI today and was not able to get in touch with you. I talked to Kevin instead.

Please do call me back ASAP since I am planning to come this Friday and discuss, as well as paying for the TT set up as well

Thank you

Was it enough to handle non e-85 power levels below 500 whp? If people aren't planning to go e85, would there be a less expensive transmission upgrade option that can handle the normal 91 octane power levels?

I have two questions:

1. What the heck is going on with Forsberg, 7AT Touring/Sport, and F.I. TT Kit on Drift Garage? Kinda threw me for a loop.......

2. Once I get my hands on another NISMO, what is the lead time on kit? I am thinking about letting the Greddy go and getting what I should have waited for in the first place.

Forsbergs car had a tranny swap to a 6my from what I understand. Nissan gave him an at.

1. As stated earlier... Forsberg's 370z started life as a 7 A/T from Nissan. He swapped in a 6 M/T for his drifting and build purposes.

2. Lead time will vary depending on influx of turbo kit orders. Give us a call directly to discuss your options once you're ready.

Fast Intentions Twin Turbo 370Z's were out in full force at Z-DayZ 2015. Special thanks to Forged Performance, DJTodd, HotRodz, Matt, and David for making the trip. Chris Forsberg stole the show with his awesome drift cars.

Every year this event just gets bigger and better. Thanks to all the other Fast Intentions customers and supporters as well!
